Son variadas las leyendas donde relacionan diversos animales que son considerados y utilizados como amuletos para la buena suerte, uno de ellos es el búho, ave cuyos ojos son símbolo de la intuición, de sabiduría e inteligencia. Algunos utilizan accesorios con la figura de este alado, para invocar la buena suerte.
Según el portal Soyesoterica.com, se tiene la creencia que el tener un encuentro de forma casual con un búho, es una excelente señal de buen augurio en todos los sentidos, pero fundamentalmente en el aspecto económico.
De otra parte, también se dice que los búhos son buenos protectores contra el oscurantismo y la ignorancia, por ello no es difícil encontrar la representación del animal en objetos como talismanes o adornos que llevan las personas y en ocasiones los puedan tener en sus residencias.

What was meant to be a trip back to Meadowbank Bridge for the southbound Great Southern turned into beers and, somehow, trivia at a pub in Strathfield (we came 2nd out of 2 teams).
Stumbling out of the fine alcohol establishment with my drone still on me, I thought I'd fly it up and see what I could get out of this V set pulling up momentarily. Which just so happened to coincide with the only CCN OSCar (via Strathfield at least) left on the books, winner, winner chicken dinner.
W574; the 18:56 Mount Victoria to Sydney Terminal service pulls into Strathfield to setdown commuters with DJM8120 on point targeted as set V38 along with V1 on the tail. Further down, H43 and H2 pull out with 285G; the 20:50 Sydney Terminal to Wyong service, a quirky service timetabling wise as it follows a Mariyung from Wyong to Gosford where it carries patrons from that service into town (said Mariyung terminates at Gosford) and back up to Gosford (empty cars) once terminated at Wyong ready for the next days runs via the North Shore. Also, at Central V1, would detach from V38 and run empty to Flemington MC, leaving V38 to work solo back to Lithgow as W593. Two days later, V28 would’ve pulled out of Sydney Terminal, working the last service up the Mountains as W597.
