After 2 years Second Life it's time for a make-over! I was still wearing my very first bought skin and my own designed shape. Meet the new Mar ^_^.
Skin: Jennifer (Redgrave)
Shape: Borderline (Maverick Design), although not much left of it....changed the body and especially the face a lot :-)
Dear Hawai'i, it's been real. See you in December.

Bucephala clangula immature male,
Morro Bay, CA
This diving duck was just coming up after a shallow dive. Note that each of the yellowish feet is spread wide to make as large a foot-full of propulsion as possible, tail is spread wide to act as rudder and head and body feathers are sleeked down compared to how we see them when the duck is above water.
Occasionally a wild animal let's one into its personal life by going about its business of daily life at close range, apparently unperturbed by human presence. I followed this duck (or more precisely, went ahead of it) as it bathed (see photo at www.flickr.com/photos/marlinharms/24727082522/) and repeatedly dove in shallow water near the shore. It's a gift of tolerance that is deeply appreciated.
Mergus serrator,
Morro Bay, California
While this species lives and hunts in the bay from fall to spring, it seems that the males, with their striking plumage, are usually just too far away to appreciate well. So I was excited to find this one diving near a dock for some minutes until it gradually moved its hunt down the bay.
Aquabord is a Kaolin Clay based surface. I’ve got one other in the posting queue. Photo reference: Sarah Lee
