I had no idea what to do for todays assignment until I was fixing oven roasted red potatoes with rosemary & garlic. I was chopping fresh rosemary and it hit me! Fresh Herbs!
Glass of clear filtered fresh Adelaide water, lit from various sources and processed to accentuate the reflections and refractions.
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, the driest state in Australia, and our water is from the River Murray, downstream of the Eastern states. In previous drought years, we have been last to get served with water, and had very strict water rationing in place. Before we installed our filter, we were totally used to our tap water with its distinctive taste, which we swore was lovely. Now, of course filtered water tastes way better ...

After a much-interrupted night of sleep, this was just what I needed. It's half-full because I was just about to "ruin" it with milk and sugar (sorry Marco).

Aluminum and paraben free. Like cell phones, there seems to be a tenuous, not quite substantiated link to cancer, but I figure in this case there seems to be a nice alternative to standard deodorant.

Fresh and clean. My sister makes this soap (with rosemary) and another with lavender. They are quite nice.

Doh, what was I thinking today. Such a simple-sounding assignment but I had so much trouble with it. At the end of the day, some serious post process shenanigans were used to hide what was essentially a poor photo. The only "fresh" I get from this shot is that a "fresh start" would be a good idea O.o

A fresh coating of ice over fresh frogspawn. I went out last night to watch the frogs laying more eggs, despite the fact the air temperature was only 2 degrees and the water 8 degrees. As the night progressed the pond froze and the mating ceased.
1/100 sec at Æ’ / 1.8, ISO 360, 35mm (AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G, Nikon D7000)
Fact: 4% of this year's photos have involved blue food dye. Honestly, thought this photo would do a good job standing out in the pool against multiple photos of vegetables and fruit with water beads. Used a retro sytle filter, added exposure & clarity.

Last Spring I discovered this plant at a nature preserve and fell in love with it. I looked for it today during my visit and was not disappointed. This plant grows among spent daffodils. Have not seen it growing anywhere else in the preserve or for that matter anywhere else my photography ventures have taken me. Would love to have it in my backyard.

Panera Bread is all about fresh bread and pastries baked daily and fresh ingredients. And tonight, after work, I stopped at a fresh new Panera that just opened a few days ago.
Had to visit a new location for work today, and also had to get up REALLY early, which required steamy fresh coffee from nearby Joe the art of coffee. Lovely coffee spot early in the morning.
Yummy, freshly-baked,
Goodness straight from the oven,
into my tummy.

Fresh as a Pansy
Who's the first one in the court to have flowers outside? Yeah, it's me. Planted them in the pot tonight. Bringing the rest to my class for them to plant. If nothing else, this picture illustrates the beginning of the gardening season - and how much work the actual garden needs before anything can be done.
