You have got to be kidding me? The last day of my Christmas light bokeh meta-theme, and denim was the assignment. Sigh. So this shot still incorporates the Christmas lights, but isn't terribly bokeh-y. I tried to process it to give it kind of a Norman Rockwell feel.
The meta theme is over for me. Some images were definitely more successful than others, but it did stretch my brain, which is always a good thing! And if tomorrow's assignment is either bokeh or holiday lights, I just might cry.

No creative idea today, but two thoughts: "with jeans you can do every thing, even yoga" or: "jeans belong (only nearly) to my life as yoga does :-)". The "wheel" is my position of the week". Not at all perfect: the hands should be at the same level (dito feet) and first of all: much higher!

I didn't really know where to go with the theme, so I decided on at least trying to be useful. Rolling clothes, rather than folding, is one of the packing tips from travel pros that I've recently picked up.

PS: Too much work lately...missed about 11 assignments that I thought of making them up and posting them at the same time. Then, after thinking about it again, I decided on continuing from where I dropped 11 days ago, or else I'd be cheating myself. Hope I won't miss any more assignments this close to completing the 365!!!
As a stay-at-home mom, this is pretty much part of my everyday "uniform". I love them in dark rinse (so it doesn't look too bad when they fade like this!) in bootcut or skinny. What's your favorite??

Dirty denim dogbed - with dog.
Toby loves to come to the office with me. He meets new people, supervises me, and when he gets bored he pokes at his drawer, which contains a "Busy Bone". Chewing a Busy Bone provides hours of doggy entertainment ... and makes quite a mess. Toby has learned that he must stay on the dogbed with his Busy Bone or I take the treat away. From time to time the denim gets too messy for my comfort and I take it home and wash it. Toby doesn't seem to mind the schmutz, and I like how easy the denim is to wash. (I have heard that there are poodles who sleep on velvet cushions, but denim is much more appropriate to Toby.)

Aujourd'hui il faut photographier un jeans ou du denim. C'est mon 627 (toute la légende d'une époque) qui sèche tranquillement au vent breton.
This is a blue jean quilt my oldest daughter made a few years ago. She added a blue and yellow plaid with yellow sheer ribbon on the other side. On the jean side she has a pink sheer ribbon around the edge. She did this without a pattern and with little help from me. I just love it. It has jeans we all have worn at one time, so it's a treasure to cherish. :-)

I ended up at a "Build-a-Bear" store this evening. The number of clothing options available for these teddy bears makes my head hurt. This is one of about 10 different types of denim based outfits you could get.

When we had our skunk incident and I had to clean out my closet, I found this pile of jeans that no longer fit (sigh). They are now headed to Goodwill. Some of these I've had for 20 years but they are stiil in very good shape because I usually only wear jeans on the weekends.

Honestly, I do have a pair of denim blue jeans. Granted, I only have one pair, and I know there are some folks at school who would be shocked to see me wearing jeans. (I know this because they tell me this on a fairly regular basis.) But I do have a pair.
However, do you think that I could find them for use in today's assignment? Nope. They're here somewhere, but not sitting out in plain sight. (Or maybe they are in plain sight -- that's always a bother when you find whatever later on...)
Anyway, I did manage to find one remnant rivet. It's as close as I'm going to get to denim today, I'm afraid.
I like this rivet. It has a nice patina. It is riveting to look at.

My new flashes came with nice carrying cases. Unfortunately, Canon did not think to fabricate these with a belt loop, Here is my solution to their short coming.
The textures of denim lend themselves to some close ups and processing. Played a bit in iPhoto with this and liked the feel of the photo when I was done.
