Did anyone see Bei tumble backwards right after this? I'm not quite sure what happened, he was on the floor in the boo for a bit, then went into his nursery.

Alright, I cheated. My subject is more the frame itself than what's inside it. Sue me.

In the center of Medford's Alba Park (a lovely greenspace named for our sister city, Alba, Italy) is a simple reflection pool and a peaceful statue.

The sculpted scene of a young man petting two small dogs was carved in Italian marble and dedicated to the city in 1934 by Charles W. and Callie Palm. No further heraldry or explanation is offered...just a lovely snapshot of a sweet moment. My one sadness about the statue is that an iron railing encircles it and the pool, keeping the scene at a distance. I would prefer to be able to walk up and join the moment in a more tactile manner. Maybe, though, keeping would-be touchers away guards the tranquility of the simple interaction of a man and his dogs.

I suppose I can give them that.

Rainy day, so just a picture from our balcony. We use an old children's chair as a flower stand. I think it is a frame of sorts.

Let's see a show of hands! How many people would like to trade lives with this cat? If you follow my photostream, you've already met Clyde. I'm used to finding him relaxing in the garden, but not wrapped up in the plants.

Framed through the back of a chair, but makes it kind of like peering out to a desired place from behind bars.

Hmm... could that be the reason why I don't really fancy doing any household work - it does not boost any thinking activity ;))

Shot through a large dustbin. Would have liked to catch a bit more of the sky, but it was not possible due to the design of the dustbin. I must have looked quite strange, taking pictures with my camera half way into a dustbin.

PS: Fun day today with my nephew. Took him to a kids sing-a-long show and worned all grown ups out. :)

Didn't have too much time for today's assignment, but walking in the park I found these trees and a bench.

since I had too much green below, I decided (again) to go for the 2x1 crop, and lowered the shadows and blacks to add some depth.

Probably NOT @dailyshoot #ds216 material? Call it morning brain... this shot was super-overexposed as the camera had last been used in flash photog of a black asphalt surface and chalk marks at 9pm and then some. This was less than 12 hours later, and me not quite all there yet.

I decided to take a literal approach and worked with several empty frames. Although I chose a shot where only one frame is visible, I was working with two and something interesting happened when I was setting up the shot... www.flickr.com/photos/jeanninestamand/4716090896
