Eigentlich in meiner Nähe, dennoch war das Neue Rathaus in Hannover nach zwei Tagen Dauerschneefall nur schwer zu erreichen. Die Strassen sind gerade wieder halbwegs frei, aber Parkplätze und Radwege sind zur Zeit unbenutzbar. So ergab sich ein schöner Fußmarsch durch das verschneite Hannover in den Maschpark. Zum Ende der Blauen Stunde gelang mir dann diese winterliche Aufnahme.
Actually close to me, yet the New Town Hall in Hannover was hard to reach after two days of continuous snowfall. The roads are just halfway clear again, but parking lots and bike paths are currently impassable. So I had a nice walk through the snowy Hannover to the Maschpark. At the end of the Blue Hour, I managed to get this shot.

Der Himmel über meiner Heimatstadt gleicht einer Feuerwalze. Wegen etlicher Mengen Saharastaubes in der Atmosphäre präsentierte sich der Sonnenuntergang heute besonders beeindruckend.

Eine Naturidylle mit Kleinod ohne Funktion: Am Scheidepunkt zwischen Norder- und Süderelbe in Hamburg/Wilhelmsburg steht der kleine Leuchtturm Bunthäuser Spitze.
1977 außer Dienst gestellt. Heute kümmert sich ein eingetragener Verein um den Erhalt dieses Kleinods, das anlässlich des 800. Hamburger Hafengeburtstages 1989 restauriert wurde.
A nature idyll with a gem without function: At the crossroads between the Norderelbe and Süderelbe in Hamburg/Wilhelmsburg stands the small Bunthäuser Spitze lighthouse.
Decommissioned in 1977. Today, a registered association takes care of the preservation of this treasure, which was created on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the founding of the museum. Hamburg Harbour Birthdays in 1989 was restored.

Der rot-weiß gestreifte Leuchtturm List Ost steht auf der Ellenbogen genannten Sylter Halbinsel und ist nach dem Leuchtturm List West das zweitnördlichste Leuchtfeuer Deutschlands. Es wurde im Jahr 1857 erbaut und am 1. Januar 1858 in Betrieb genommen. Seit 1977 ist das Feuer des Turms ferngesteuert. Aufgrund seiner Nähe zu einer Steilkante galt der Leuchtturm List Ost noch um 2003 als absturzgefährdet, seit etwa 2007 ist die Küstenerosion der Steilkante jedoch zum Stillstand gekommen. Eine Panoramaaufnahme aus der Luft: Der weiße Leuchtturm List/West liegt auf der Sylter Halbinsel Ellenbogen. Er wurde vom Königreich Dänemark erbaut und ist nicht nur der nördlichste Leuchtturm, sondern auch das nördlichste Gebäude Deutschlands. Außerdem ist er der älteste Leuchtturm an der Westküste Schleswig-Holsteins.
A panoramic view from the air: The white lighthouse List/West is located on the Sylt peninsula Ellenbogen. It was built by the Kingdom of Denmark and is not only the northernmost lighthouse, but also the northernmost building of Germany. It is also the oldest lighthouse on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein.

Schloss Marienburg ist eine ehemalige Sommerresidenz der Könige von Hannover in Pattensen. Die Namen Marienberg und Marienburg gehen auf König Georg V. von Hannover zurück, der Burg und Berg seiner Frau Marie zu ihrem 39. Geburtstag schenkte. Die Marienburg mit 130 Räumen befindet sich auf 135 Metern Höhe am Südwesthang des aus Sandstein der unteren Trias bestehenden Marienbergs, der den südöstlichen Teil des Schulenburger Bergs darstellt.
Marienburg Castle is a former summer residence of the kings of Hanover in Pattensen. The names Marienberg and Marienburg date back to King George V of Hanover, who gave the castle and mountain to his wife Marie as a gift for her 39th birthday. Marienburg Castle, with its 130 rooms, is located at an altitude of 135 meters on the southwestern slope of the Marienberg, which is made of Lower Triassic sandstone and forms the southeastern part of the Schulenburg Mountain.

Eine Ansicht vom Agnesberg (395 m ü. NN) auf Werningerode und sein Schloß.
Das Schloß Wernigerode war ursprünglich eine mittelalterliche Burg, die den Weg der deutschen Kaiser des Mittelalters auf deren Jagdausflügen in den Harz sichern sollte. Im Laufe des 16. Jh. wurde die Burg zu einer Renaissancefestung umgebaut. Im Dreißigjährigen Krieg schwer verwüstet, begann Graf Ernst zu Stolberg-Wernigerode im späten 17. Jahrhundert mit dem barocken Umbau der Burgreste zu einem romantischen Residenzschloss.
Den wohl bedeutendsten Umbau in der Geschichte des Schlosses veranlasste Graf Otto zu Stolberg-Wernigerode. Das Schloß Wernigerode® wurde zu einem Leitbau des norddeutschen Historismus. Seit 1930 ist das Schloss in Teilen der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.

Wernigerode Castle was originally a medieval fortress built to protect the route taken by German emperors on their hunting trips in the Harz Mountains during the Middle Ages. During the 16th century, the castle was converted into a Renaissance fortress. Severely damaged during the Thirty Years' War, Count Ernst zu Stolberg-Wernigerode began the Baroque conversion of the castle ruins into a romantic residential palace in the late 17th century.
The most significant renovation in the history of the palace was initiated by Count Otto zu Stolberg-Wernigerode. Wernigerode Palace® became a leading example of North German historicism. Parts of the palace have been open to the public since 1930.

Schon von weitem sichtbar erhebt sich Schloss Marienburg am Südwesthang des Marienbergs, rund 20 Kilometer südlich von Hannover und 15 Kilometer nordwestlich von Hildesheim. Die authentisch erhaltene Sommerresidenz der Welfen, dem ältesten Fürstenhaus Europas, zählt zu den bedeutendsten neugotischen Baudenkmälern Deutschlands.
Already visible from afar, Marienburg Castle rises on the southwest slope of the Marienberg, about 20 kilometres south of Hanover and 15 kilometres northwest of Hildesheim. The authentically preserved summer residence of the Guelphs, the oldest princely house in Europe, is one of the most important neo-Gothic architectural monuments in Germany.

Der Köhlbrand ist ein Mündungsarm der Süderelbe in die Norderelbe. Er ist die Hauptzufahrt zum Containerterminal Altenwerder (CTA). Parallel zum Köhlbrand verläuft die Autobahn A7, eine der Hauptverkehrsadern Deutschlands.
Der Köhlbrand entstand im Laufe des 14. und 15. Jahrhunderts. An seinen Ufern wurde Holzkohle gebrannt, die von dort ansässigen Köhlern an die Schiffer verkauft wurde (daher der Name Köhlbrand).
The Köhlbrand ("coalbrand") is an arm of the Süderelbe into the Norderelbe. It is the main entrance to the container terminal Altenwerder (CTA).
The Köhlbrand originated in the course of the 14. and fifteen centuries. On its banks, charcoal was fired and sold by local coalmen to the shipowners (hence the name “coalbrand”).

Der Leuchtturm Hörnum ist mit den fast baugleichen Leuchttürmen Westerheversand und Pellworm Teil einer Serienproduktion der ehemaligen Isselburger Hütte in Isselburg im westlichen Münsterland. Die Türme wurden aus verschraubten Gusseisenplatten, sogenannten Tübbings, errichtet.
Von 1914 bis 1933 war in einem Zimmer des Leuchtturmes etwa in Höhe des weißen Ringes Deutschlands kleinste Schule mit zwei bis fünf Schülern beheimatet. (Quelle: wikipedia)
The Hörnum lighthouse with the almost identical lighthouses Westerheversand and Pellworm is part of a series production of the former Isselburger Hütte in Isselburg in the western Münsterland. The towers were built from bolted cast iron plates, so-called Tübbings.

This image is the newest addition to my Dronie (Selfie taken with a Drone) series. I visited Vestrahorn last year but I couldn't fly my drone due to bad weather. I knew I had to come back again to get an aerial perspective of this beautiful landscape. I visited again this year in March and luckily the weatherman cooperated as well. With the help of drone, I get a unique perspective and a three dimension view of the sand dunes in foreground. I was able to capture Aurora as well during the night.

The red and white striped lighthouse List Ost stands on the elbow called Sylter peninsula and is after the lighthouse List West the second northernmost beacon of Germany. It was built in 1857 and commissioned on January 1, 1858. Since 1977, the fire of the tower is remotely controlled. Due to its proximity to a steep ledge, the lighthouse List Ost was still in danger of falling in 2003, but since about 2007 the coastal erosion of the steep ledge has come to a standstill.
