Thank you for your visits, faves and comments!

We went for a ride today and Dave took this with his drone down by Elk Rapids. Trees are just starting to turn white. I thought it was a pretty shot of this nice farm.

I took a drive down to Marazion in Cornwall last night to get a few drone shots of St Michael's Mount.

I've wanted to get a few views of the mount for a long time and now I have my drone I thought I'd pay a visit after work yesterday.

It was a gorgeous evening and Jim and I got some really nice shots

Drone Fly (Eristalis tenax)

I have seen more of these Drone Flies so far this season than I have seen in previous years.

Back after I pick up the kids from school, for the last time this year, six weeks of Summer holidays start now!

Just before arriving in Adishi, I ascended my Mavic Air to around 2700m, to have a glimpse of the last lights casting over the mountains. In the back you see the Ushba mountains, peaking over the kilometers lower mountain in front.

Last Autumn (October 2019) I had the pleasure of exploring the Georgian caucasus, together with my travel buddy Niels van der Linde. A four-day hike from Mestia to Ushguli, through the beautiful autumn landscape, with views of majestic mountains like Ushba (4700m) near Mestia and Shkhara (5200m) above Ushguli. Truly peaceful and calming area, helped by our off-season timing.

.

We walked alone those four days, only to meet locals on the trail, or see fellow-hikers when arriving at the villages. We did not meet any other hikers en route, which was actually because of our relaxing (or call it slow) start of the day. Also this meant that we were arriving quite late at our destinations.

Drone Fly on Lavender

Dave flew his drone and captured some images from the west side of the Lighthouse which is incased in ice. This is from the side the waves hit the most. That's allot of ice already but Friday we are to reach up to 45* and if we get some sun this ice will be falling off.

Testing drone shots back home

The insect in the image is a Drone Fly (Eristalis tenax), a species of hoverfly known for its resemblance to a honeybee.

Common Drone Fly (Eristalis tenax), a type of hoverfly known for mimicking honeybees.

This aircraft is based next door to us at present, it has been quite active. This picture was taken overhead Bracebridge Heath, 9,000ft at 120 knots.

Drone show at Han river in Seoul. Never saw one of those before. Interesting but probably better for video than photography.

Hope you had a great weekend? This is a frame from Chicago’s Gold Coast, literally :) What do you think?

Photographed from along the Cahill Walkway on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lens.

Processed in Adobe Lightroom.

Shot of the Mavic Mini 2 during sunset, at Wingfoot Lake State Park.

The Drone Fly is another one of those busy and very essential pollinators. It looks like a honey bee so hence its name, drone.

Bon week-end à tous !

Drone shot of Starr’s Mill in Fayetteville, GA

This one was a bit high up, but I liked the way it looked against the blue sky! HFDF have a great day and weekend ;0)

The Dart River feeds into Lake Wakatipu. You can see some holiday makers who were enjoying jet skiing from the right bank. Thanks for visiting summer down under.

While it may look like a male honeybee (drone), it's really just this fly's effective mimicry to look intimidating to predators thinking about eating it!

These flys are harmless, possessing no stingers, and yet they are pretty much left alone by hungry birds and lizards.

I caught this one sucking nectar from a Zinnia center.

Enjoy the explosion of colors!

Three GE's lead a Cape Lambert train into Western Creek.

Sorry, I apologise in advance for my slow response.😭STILL having P.C. problems😭 AND recently London has been too hot, (well over 30 degrees😭) and I could not turn my P.C. ON!😭 I believe it's going to get HOT again very soon AGAIN😮 So replies may be delayed😭😭

⭐️Thank you in Advance for your kind ‘Faves’ Visits and Comments they are so very much appreciated. 👍

I cannot always ‘Thank’ everyone individually, for their Visits and ‘Faves’ however, I will always try to respond and thank all those that leave a ‘Comment’. If I do not reply to your 'Comment', it is not because I am ignoring you, it's because I have not seen the 'Comment'.

Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)

One train per day brings ores from the Toquepala and Cuajone mines to the port city of Ilo, where they are processed

and loaded onto ships. We made the late first train east of Ilo. For the next 30 kilometers the train has to roll down over 800 meters towards the Pacific.

Taken by a drone.

I love the delicate wings.

My husband Dave took this DRONE shot.

I'm standing on the end of the pier where I took the previous picture.
