Welcome those big, sticky, complicated problems. In them are your most powerful opportunities.

details and landmarks at ahchoo-e!.
I've been on a bit of a Star Wars kick lately, and had a little (VERY little) time to put this guy together. It's part of a series of droids and figures I made which I'll probably never get around to photographing, unless as a group shot.
So I'm from Michigan. Do you understand my pun name now?
Tried for an Ep. I build with Ep. III lighting.
New Years Throwback: Detroitika: Origin Story
Sorry about the Brickarms U-clips and Brickforge bent hands being dark tan. The only modified parts are the blaster tips, cut from a long antenna which was already broken. Legs are sturdy and the hooks clip to the aviator helmet with only the help of cut flex tube!
Just a quick build for the start of the new year, I didn't get as many builds up over the last two weeks as I wanted to, sadly in two days holiday block leave ends and I wont have the opportunity to build again for a couple months. Until then cheers and happy new year!

A.K.A. Star Wars Bohrok.
My (rushed) last-minute entry to the Build With the Force contest.
I initially planned to build Cav, a SCAR Trooper from the comics (you can see him here, he's the Scout), but eventually thought that even with a lot of knives and a robotic arm, a Stromtrooper is a bit boring. So I've built a Droideka instead, putting the 4M brown shells I've gotten from bricklink a few months ago to good use. Unfortunately, this one doesn't roll into a ball, but I'll certainly build a more set-like version with a few technic features in the near future (don't expect something as rad as the good old Technic Droideka though). Good thing a certain Star Wars Ultrabuild set from this summer contains brown Technic pieces. :v
Thank you so much Marcin Otreba for this wonderful design, surely the best I've ever seen !
I really love this photo and these two Droidekas !

La forma más efectiva de acabar con cualquier androide (excepto con un Hailfire) es con un buen tiro del AT-TE
An older model I already posted on my IG account. But I didn\'t want to keep it from you so here it is....
Credit to ThankTheLEGOMaker for the use of the Han Solo Hairpiece on the bottom. There some other similarities between our design but trust me when I say that I figured them out myself^^.
Have a nice Day!

I made an update to my droideka design that I wanted to share with you guys, because I think it's a pretty important one and a step in a better direction. I got rid of those skeleton arms that I was using for the legs and used exoforce robot claws and minifigure hands instead. This gives a more accurate look, as the legs are now pointy at one end, and the final product looks much better than my last attempt.
Cheers!

Number: CT-1024-52
Name: "Titus"
Rank: ARC Lieutenant Grade 1
3rd Regiment of the 253rd Elite Legion

" We arrived aboard the Tenacious. Everything was quiet.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ All right, let's find our Regiment.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Yeah, yeah. I don't get why command decided to send us. There's nothing else to do here.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Maybe. I don't care.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ What ? Command said to go so they're right ? Cause it's command so it's right. Command is always right. Sure.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Shut up Grumpy. I didn't mean that. It's good to travel a bit. And thing should become interesting in no time.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ And why ?
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Cause Garbage Squad is here.
/CT-7426, Clang/ Something is going to explode then
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Yeah right. You will finally be able to loose your last leg, Clang.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Shut up Grumpy. Let's move.
So we moved. Clang was following us a few steps behind. I think he didn't like Grumpy's little joke. He don't understand humor. Then I heard a noise. A Droideka emerged from a door behind us. I turned around, pulled out My Kukri, and threw it
over the Droideka. I guess it was surprised, as it didn't open fire. My blade landed in Clang's hand, who then cut the droid throat. Well, not really his throat, but anyone will figure out what I mean. The Droideka was dead. Well, incapacitated, as it not alive.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Clang, you could just have shot the Droidka in the back. It had no shield. Why the hell did you jump on him ? What would you have done if I didn't throw you my Kukri ?
/CT-7426, Clang/ I don't know. Crush him with my fist maybe.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ And why not with your mechanical leg ?
/CT-7426,Clang/ I saved your lives.
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Come one, if I had the time to throw my Kukri, I would have the time to shoot it with my blaster. At least twice. But I have to admit that was a nice move Clang. Hold down, Command is transmitting new orders.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Yeah ! I'm so happy !
/CT-7426, Clang/ Really ? Me too !
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ No I'm not. I hate Command, you know that.
/CT-7425, Clang/ Oh. Ok/
/CT-1024-52, Me/ All right boys, new order. We have to go back to the Endurance. Right now.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Really ? Come on ! We just got there, and now we have to go back ? End of the mission or what ?
/CT-1024-52, Me/ No, we're under attack. The 3rd have to escort the survivors to the port side hanger. That's where we arrived. Since there's no survivors with us, let's just move.
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Anything else to know ?
/CT-1024-52, Me/ Not really. Well, Droidekas are roaming the hallways, but we already know that. The 2nd is going to the Precursor, and the 1st has to defend the hangar.
/CT-7426, Clang/ They're lucky
/CT-7425, Grumpy/ Yeah, sure they are. Dying in a medical station. How ironic. Well maybe not."

Droideka design goes to Hopeso009
Watched some Phantom Menace the other day and felt like trying out the destroyer droids. I've always loved the variable geometry stuff from Ep. 1.
I'd consider this a tablescrap due to missing some parts in reddish brown, but overall I'm very happy with the design, only missing the hip plate things as far as I can tell, and perhaps there'd be a better solution for the head. Also it's far too big for minifig scale but any smaller and you'd have to sacrifice details.
Anyway, feel free to use the design if you're interested.
-Technical specifications-
Length - 31 meters
Height - 13 meters
Maximum speed - 35 km/h
Maximum altitude - 4 meters
Engine unit(s) - Kuat Premion Mk. II power generator
Armament - Two Rotatable Twin blaster cannons
Crew - 4 OOM battle droids, Pilot, Co-pilot, Rack operator and Overseer
Passengers - 112 B1 battle droids or 20 Droidekas or 12 Super battle droids
Cargo capacity - 12 tons
this Moc has about 3250 pieces and between making it in ldd, ordering the pieces and actually building it took me about 2 years to build.
It's measurements are:
length - 57.6cm or 72 studs
height - 25.6cm or 32 studs
Width - 17.6cm or 22 studs
I tried to capture all the angles of the haul and am pretty happy with the result!
It has a full interior based on the crossed sections book from episode I.
"Master, destroyers!"
Instructions for the Droideka are now available!

Been a looooong time since I posted anything here, but I haven't stopped building! Here's a quick tablescrap I was bold enough to photograph and post on Reddit the other day - figured y'all might appreciate it too! There's a Bricklink order on the way with some extra parts to give it another go, and I might actually try to take a decent photo of the next version when it arrives! In the meantime, enjoy! And check out the rest of the shots over on Reddit to see that it actually folds!

Droidekas also known as destroyer droids made their theatrical appearance way back in 1999 in “The Phantom Menace”, used first by the Trade Federation during the invasion of Naboo, we first saw them being sent to take out Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
My interpretation of Droidekas. The "eyes" part isnt 100% appropriate to the original, but it looks good for me:)
Instructions: Rebrickable
Scaling down the droideka to accurate minifig-scale opened up the possibility of using the 8x8 Windscreen Domes, which are the largest windscreen domes, as the iconic force-fields of the droideka. With the droideka standing at 6 studs, 8x8 is the perfect size sphere to envelope the droid correctly. Embedding it into the ground proved to be quite the tricky challenge actually, as I wanted the ground internally to match the external ground level, and also have a tight fit around the shield, which much to my surprise is 1 plate not spherical as the domes aren't actually perfect semi-spheres. This lead to a ring and inner ring that doesn't have a top or bottom, as the studs on it face up in 4 different directions like the blades of a windmill, and an interesting and fun internal build to match up all the turns and offsets.
The floor was also a tricky component of the build, as the curvature of the domes at the low point is pretty high so even a 2 plate thick design would have pushed the ground up too high.
Happy with the end result as gaps are almost exclusively the thickness of the shield itself and it works well from any angle.
So my first Clone Wars Barf, I thought it would be appropriate to make some figs since the shows return!
From left to right...
-Wat Tambor: thought some people might like to see him lol
-Nute Gunray: I gave him Lucy's scarf (looks noice)
-Savage Opress: One of my favourite characters from the show!
-Count Dooku: Nothing new really, just gave him some legs that are half black and half dark brown.
-Obi Wan: Inspired a lot from TheMooseFigs variant I just gave him clone trooper legs and i put a white elastic around his wrists.
-Anakin Skywalker: also pretty much kudos to TheMooseFigs once again I just switched up his face.
-Ashoka Tano: Nothing to special switched up her face and legs.
-Clone Trooper: Gave him a white belt, elastic around the wrists.
-Battle Droid
-Super Battle Droid
-Droideka: I'm super happy on how he came out looks really nice on my desk!
(Up Top)
-Mandalorian: nothing amazing but looks nice!
-Cad Bane: He is in his suit from the episode "The Box" which looks nice! I never got the original Cad Bane but this is the closest I could make him!
Please tell me your thoughts in the comments and adios muchachos (idk if that is correct or not)
This is my entry for BBC #2. I know this is a very simple droid, but I tried to be as accurate as possible. Of course the body should be grey as well, but I wanted some contrast.
You were right about one thing master. The negotiations were short. - Obi-Wan Kenobi to Qui-Gon Jinn.
I've wanted to build something like this since seeing the cover for Master and Apprentice by Claudia Grey, and decided to do something straight from The Phantom Menace. The classic 2002 set with Obi-Wan and 2 Droidekas (I never managed to get the partner set with Qui-Gon unfortunately) is one of my original Star Wars sets.
Tried to give these clones some kind of personality and add some character. Hardest part was to find printed legs with the right markings/color.
Tell me what you think about these combos.
Again added some modern weapons cuz thats how we do.
In the background is my roman soldier dude I got from Flo. Ma bois on snapchat already know. Also really hyped about a tactic droid I also got my hands on.
Round 2 of Iron Forge is coming to a close. That means a sincere reflection and no humor.
This has been a heck of a ride! I've created 2 models I am super proud of, and others that I am pleased with the outcome (my droideka will definetly be modified in the future). I may or may not make it to Round 3, but to be honest, Round 2 has been satisfying enough. Thank you judges, Markus, and the rest of the contestents, especially my bracket (may the best of us win!)- you guys Rocket (What, it's Iron Forge, you have to put a pun in *somewhere*)!
p.s.: I'm not really sure if the build looks like it's digital or not. To clear any confusion, it is not. I can take photo evidence if needed ;)
-----LOG ENTRY XARD-------
Command decided to give us experimental weapons and gear for us to try on an "easy test mission". Our job, was to go reinforce an outpost. the given equipment was a precise version of the Z-6 rotary cannon, Dce12, and a personal shield. After an encounter with a droideka, i would like to thank to the genius who decided add a grenade launcher on the Z-9 (is that what they called it?) because their was no way my shield could handle anymore fire. The Dce12 was useful with its knock back effect. The personal shield is perfect for my style of combat especially the fact that it recharges when not in use. All in all I'd say it was a very successful test.
