Again, looking down southbound lane where accident took place other than as the Cadillar turned sideways it bumped Yamila Yarfar Still in northbound lane not on the shoulder.
While we have always liked the QX from Infiniti, we thought it was more of a dressed up Nissan Armada than its own vehicle. Apparently so did Infiniti, as they created a completely new-from-the-ground-up QX56 for the first time...

1961 Cadillac dash grille.
This decorative grille would be on the driver's side between the instrument cluster and the door.
Ribbed, with a darker paint applied between, would complement the grille trim piece on the passenger's side and the grille in front of the dash speaker, along with matching the design in the rear tail lights.
This piece would sit next to the panels on the lower dash, the panel that housed the windshield wiper switch (and the A/C vent if present) would snap on to the two metal plugs along the bottom, the large hole on the bottom would have a wire go through it, and the curved part on the top is where this piece sits next to the round bezel for the headlight control knob.
In "Forever Knight," Nick's 1961 Cadillac should have had this ribbed design for the dash grille trim. Instead, the car had the 1962 part, which was all smooth metal.

Once you have folded/wrestled the carpet away from the seat mouldings you will see where the cable exits the interior of the car. A rubber sealing grommet holds tight to the cable and the access hole in the chassis. Push the cable and grommet outwards to the underneath of the car to allow the cable to be totally extracted from the inside of the vehicle. ( This pic shows the cable for the driverside as i had already pushed the cable i was working on, free of the car before taking the picture..
