Flickr has done some major design changes (which I deeply regret). Are you missing collections in Flickr? Me, too!

New iteration for Raven SSTO, Single Stage to Orbit. This isn't the heavy, Discovery. But the smaller one. For example, SpaceX's dragon capsule is 378 Cu Ft, Payload bay of Raven is 1078 Cu Ft. www.ioaircraft.com/hypersonic/raven.php

Iteration 10, almost clean sheet. U-TBCC propulsion, 6000F thermal resistance, 3D printed graphene airframe, Note the elimination of "blunt nose". Turn around time under 24 hours total from landing to ready for next flight. No external boosters.

Forward Thruster Bay, other then conventional orbital thrusters, also includes a reverse thruster which decelerates the aircraft pre re-entry into atmosphere from 16,500+ mph ground speed to apx 12,000 mph ground speed. Engines re-ignite once in atmosphere so it can fly to it's landing destination, ie not glide.

...aka my 98 Ford Explorer. Nothing fancy, but it's a beast. Gets me everywhere I want to go.

Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Dream Chaser spacecraft is removed from its delivery truck after arriving at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in California, located on Edwards Air Force Base. The spacecraft will undergo several months of testing in preparation for its approach and landing flight on the base’s 22L runway. The test series is part of a developmental space act agreement SNC has with NASA’s Commercial Crew Program and will help SNC validate aerodynamic properties, flight software and control system performance. The Dream Chaser is also being prepared to deliver cargo to the International Space Station under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services 2 contract beginning in 2019. The cargo Dream Chaser will fly at least six delivery missions to and from the space station by 2024. Photo credit: NASA/Ken Ulbrich

I had my annual balloon weekend!

As you will recall, I LOVE this particular festival!!!

The only thing that could have made the weekend better: CLOUDS! There wasn't a cloud in the sky all weekend, just boring blue! =)
