Shenmue (1999).
Despite the terrible voice acting, It's what gives this title it's unique charm. Nostalgia at it's finest. Looking forward to the forklift racing.
The 4th in my Video Game Console Mosaics (and last of my Sega's) say hi to the wonderful Sega Dreamcast.
The Dreamcast is Sega's most recent video game console and the successor to the Sega Saturn. An attempt to recapture the console market with a next-generation system, it was designed to supersede the PlayStation and Nintendo 64.
Originally released sixteen months before the PlayStation 2 (PS2) and three years before the Nintendo GameCube and the Xbox, the Dreamcast is part of the sixth generation of video game consoles.
Dreamcast was widely hailed as ahead of its time, and is still held in high regard for pioneering online console gaming. Sega discontinued the Dreamcast in March 2001, and withdrew entirely from the console hardware business.
This is Metal Sonic's appearance in Sonic Rivals, exclusive to PSP as a bonus character, he is unlocked when all other characters' storylines have been completed. His appearance looks quite familiar and the same as he was in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Gamecube) and in Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast).

Man Mo Temple or Man Mo Miu (traditional Chinese: 文武廟) is a temple in Hong Kong, China, that reveres the God of Literature, Man Tai (文帝), Man Cheong （文昌） and the God of War, and Mo Tai (武帝) or Kuan Ti, Kwan Yu（關羽).
The temple itself also made an appearance in the video game Shenmue II for the Dreamcast and Xbox consoles. You can explore the temple and its grounds, however its location in the game is different from its true location.
The one on Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan was built in 1847. It has been managed by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals since 1908. It is one of Grade I historic buildings in the District.

On a separate note, today marks another milestone for me as a Flickr citizen - hit counter reaches 200,000 today! Though this should be nothing for the other greatness here, I still feel incredible to reach this. I recall that I reached the 100,000 plateau slightly before my 1st birthday here, and it's just about half a year to double it! Thanks for your support! I feel glad to know you!

Basically, you buy some hydrogen peroxide cream and use the strongest you can find. I purchased this vol. 40 at Sallys. Apply generously over the limbs or affected area, avoiding the hair and face. I covered the head with a hair net and then tissue paper over that. Lay the doll out in the sun so that they can absorb the UV light or under a black light like the photo, since black lights give off UV. Let sit for 5 hours, wipe off, reapply and repeat until necessary. When done, wash the doll and remove any residue with a magic eraser. The doll at the top had about 10 applications and took a few days, the doll under her only had a about 5 and was done in a weekend. Both were done inside with a UV light. The headless body had two applications and I left it outside for one day.
I found this on a video game forum! People were restoring yellowed SNES's and Dreamcasts. :-P

While the cool kids are cosplaying the latest anime characters, I'm dressing up as Ulala from Space Channel 5... a largely forgotten game on a mostly forgotten console from almost 25 years ago. I still play the game on my old Dreamcast, and when I saw this cheap costume on Ali Express, I couldn’t resist!
I'm in the process of turning the room above my garage into a media room. Already got myself a 75 inch tv, leather power recline cinema seats, a small bar... and this arcade machine!
It has pretty much every classic arcade game from the 70's and 80's, plus console games for just about every machine up to the N64, PS1 and Dreamcast. 17,000 games all on a tiny Raspberry Pi and a 128gb micro sd card. It'll certainly keep me busy for a while.
Right, I'm off to play Galaxian, Defender and Asteroids!
Space Channel 5 is one of my favorite games of all time, and always dreamed of having a doll of Ulala ... and I always thought the tnt barbie mold was very similar to Ulala ... so I just had one in my hands started to create a custom doll ... and this is the result ... I know isn't perfect but I really like her a lot <3
This is the white Ulala of Space Channel 5: Part 2... the Ulala of the first part was orange ^^.

In addition to Maschinen Krieger this guy was inspired by an obscure Dreamcast game called E.G.G. (Elemental Gimmick Gear). Never played it, but the art looked cool. The head was also partially inspired by the front end of Logan's Clamshell Octorotor.

The miniature Dreamcast box and controller is a Christmas ornament. The screen is my iPhone with Hello Kitty Race Game on the screen.
Pretty much my entire console collection, and nearly every machine in the picture is plugged in and ready to play. Planning out where to place each machine in relation to where the wires were going to go, how long the wires are, which have SCART and which have standard TV aerials took quite some time. Top tip - those 5 in 1 SCART adapters (basically a box with 5 SCART sockets in it that sits behind your TV) are a Godsend for this kind of thing. I think I've done quite well not to have ended up with hundreds of wires spilling all over the place, but it'll probably all end in tears if I need to remove one of the consoles.
Since doing this, I've realised that the easiest way to hook a big pile of machines up is to separate the power wires from the aerial & SCART leads. Start with the power wires first, as those will be the ones on the ground (and hidden under the units) most of the time and won't be moved around as much. Start from the plug sockets and work your way back to the place where the console will be, but don't connect them to any consoles yet. Once all the power wires are plugged in and in place, push all the excess cable under the unit as much as you can, then do the same with the TV aerials / SCART leads, starting from the TV and the 5 in 1 SCART adapter and working your way back to where the console will be. As you mess with TV wires more than power supplies, it makes sense to do those second. Finally, drop in the consoles and connect everything up, before hiding as much of the aerial / SCART cables as you can.
If you have multiple Dreamcasts and you intend to plug one into a TFT, another top tip - saved games made on a regular TV don't seem to work with the TFT and vice-versa, so pick one DC to use on a TFT and stick with it or you'll get confused with your saves real quick.
To the left, I have two small baskets which hold all the loose SNES carts and all my Neo Geo Pocket games. There's a Game Gear and a Gameboy Advance just out of shot, too but neither work anymore so I didn't want to include them here. I'm planning on adding some more consoles eventually (still trying to get my hands on a Neo Geo, PC Engine Duo and a Jaguar) so I might have to take another picture with a third shelf unit added. That might be tricky...

This time I gave Mecabricks a try, because LDD doesn't have every part available. The new curved slopes with notches were essential here.

Haven't seen this scene in almost 20 years. The pacing of Shenmue is very mellow compared to what I've been playing as of late, but that's what's so magical about this title. With the night and day cycle taking part of the experience, the player gets to delve into the intricate detail of the developer. A lot of titles may have adopted this concept over the previous two decades and have proven to go above and beyond what you see here, but mind you that this is title is simply a remastered version of game play from 20 years ago. Indeed, an innovative ideas that had laid the foundation for many detail saturated titles in the years to come.
Classic Dreamcast, remastered for a PC port. Wonderfully, constructed with a hefty load of corny so-good-its-bad moments.

Another JSR character, wasn't exactly the next character I planned from the game, but I didn't have parts for the female character (whose name I don't remember at the moment), so decided to try and challenge myself with this character, and he turned out better than I expected. Sculpting the hair and detailing the face were definitely the most difficult part to do.
