I was delighted today when Dot took to her new harness like she'd been wearing one all her life. It probably helped that I scheduled the first fitting for her afternoon treat time. Other than glancing down briefly at the chest strap, Dot ignored it.
I took that as a signal that Dot was ready for her first outing. Oh boy, was she!
What we're most concerned about is that Dot will be wanting to go for walks at all hours of the day and night.
I opened our garage to find the driveway covered in this fascinating ice. These are apparently air bubbles on the concrete caught by overnight freezing rain. Certainly something I've never seen before! They are about 1 inch/ 2.5 cm across. Mt. Shasta, California
A study for the academy in 2022, where I projected different patterns on faces, this one suitable for the challenge "DOTS".
For reasons only she could explain, Dot has taken to lounging on her back on the living room carpets. It works: she's comfy, and we think she's very cute.
I had to try my new stamps... I have always loved seeing this used on such lovely cards... now I am soooo excited that I finally bought the clear set... my goodness, there are a lot of stamps in this set - Hero Arts Artistic Borders (CL322).
Background: Hero Arts Misty Swirl Pattern (S5099) inked with Tim Holtz Distressed inks - Worn Lipstick and Shabby Shutters
Stamped the flower in Archival Maroon 5 times & cut out 5 times to layer flower. Used Worn Lipstick and Broken China distressed inks sponged on cardstock. Used Glossy Accents on the flower center. Used Shabby Shutters for the stem with various green markers. Cut the leaves out and glued them on the stem.
The stamens of the flower are actually little dots.
Dot cupcake to go with ladybug cupcakes for a ladybug themed baby shower.
Vanilla cake filled with homemade lemon curd, vanilla frosting, toped with fondant.
Navy blue dots on white background with coral trim.
I used McCall's pattern 5313--dress A. I thinned the straps and added the trim at the bottom. I think the pattern is made to fit a little looser in the chest, but I went for a smaller size that ended up fitting exactly. Not bad for my first dress!

I didn't expect much from these inexpensive New Yorker pantyhose. But they feel really smooth and are cut for long and slim legs.
Re "Dotted Swiss" - see Note down below.

This stucco-clad stone wall is next to a small park, right in the heart of the main shopping area in our village. It has suddenly received this wild paint job that also covers the electric service box in the foreground.. Whether the village authorized this paint job or if it is instead a prank, I don't know.
However, I like it !
Note: "Dotted Swiss" is the name of a classic clothing fabric. It is usually cotton, with a printed-on pattern of dots, often white, against a colored background. It was especially popular for women's dresses back in the 1950s. My English mom had some Dotted Swiss dresses.
Location: Dorfkern (central shopping area) Riehen BS Switzerland.
In my album: Roaming Riehen.
In the dead of night, Dot woke both Mariette LaFleur and Essa Nazari, her two closest house-bound friends. With no explanation, she pulled them through the castle, avoiding patrolling professors, and into the Room of Requirement. As if an emerging door was not shocking enough, what lay behind it was not something either Mariette nor Essa was prepared for. "Meet my friend."
Flickr are 21 years old (yesterday actually) and they are doing 21 days of themed images. Today's theme is "dots".
I've done lots of this type of image, especially during the Black and White Unite series of shots when I used steel ball bearings on patterned paper to create images. I have a crystal ball that I was gifted sometime ago, but I've never got round to using it, so I thought I'd have a go at making similar graphic images with this.
