CN M376 rolls past Dorval VIA Station in Dorval, QC. The train is led by CN ES44AC #3926, an Ex-Citirail (CREX) Leaser that was bought by CN earlier this year.
I live near this point. I pass it often, and each time I think it might make a nice photo someday. On this stormy day, the visibility was poor, and the sun was hidden until I reached this spot and the light came out to illuminate the lake on both sides of the point. That and the flag made this the day!

Photo of Dorval Airport hangers in 1946 in Montreal Quebec. My uncle Harry Bowrin used to operate heavy equipment. He may have been working at the airport. A note on the photo says that the cement was being broken up and replaced.
Train 24 starts to pull out of Dorval station and past the search light signals that stand guard here. I noticed a lot of work going on to replace a large amount of the search lights going west out of Montreal and then again some search lights seem to have been updated with LED's and possibly reworked.
Its transcontinental trip from Vancouver nearly over, CP 112 heads through Dorval with CP 7023 leading. CP 7023 is painted in an Air Force-inspired paint scheme and features an American flag on one side and a Canadian flag on the other side (the latter seen here). CP 7023 was rebuilt from SD9043MAC CP 9128.

CP 4559, I believe a M630, rolls through Dorval, Quebec with what appears to be a sister unit flying the white flags of an extra. On the adjacent track is a CN manifest with three 3 GP40W-2s. As I recall this was a great place to watch trains, although on my visit it was cloudy and rainy, but lots of action.
CN's newer AC power (GE ES44AC's and ET44AC's) is commonly found on CN 377, but here two slightly older DC units (SD70M-2 CN 8819 and ES44DC CN 2284) lead CN 377 through Dorval just as the sun cooperates on a partially sunny afternoon.

CSX has been retiring a number of SD60's recently, so it was a nice surprise to see ex-Conrail SD60M CSXT 8761 leading CN 327. It's passing under a signal gantry at Dorval with CSXT 67 trailing as a bit of snow falls.

VIA train 62 heads east toward Dorval and, eventually, Montreal. A cab car brings up the rear of this matched set. Amtrak's Airo equipment, currently on order, will have a similar appearance and configuration.
CP 8241 leads a 2-car Dorion Turn westwards, with van CP 434957 bringing up the rear through Dorval. At left is a CP eastbound. I wouldn't do this now, but I'm standing between the CN and CP main lines and underneath the snow I'm standing in is the CN/CP interchange track, which was removed a couple of years later.

I landed in Montreal today. Its December so I figured there would be snow. Nope. Only rain and ice. I took this photo from my sisters balcony. Its well below freezing here. Multiple exposure made me cringe from the cold air outside. But I am glad to be here. Looking forward to enjoying Christmas with the family.

In the Montreal borough (suburb) of Dorval. I'm not saying this is the proper way to do kayaking. Actually I'm not even sure these are proper kayaks. They were some distance off and I didn't get a close look. This was a telephoto shot at maximum zoom in my Panasonic. They don't look like traditional kayaks. And don't ask me what they were doing.
