Dunlewey has to be one of the most beautiful parts of Donegal and you just cant drive through it without stopping and taking a quick photograph. This is a little stone bridge sits near the old stunning church that looks over the poison glen at the foot of mount Errigal .

A trip to Donegal on Sunday morning proved to be a morning well spent. We had colour in the sky, gale force winds and rain storms all at the same time. Having shot an image of the sun rising I turned around to see heavy rain coming straight for us. Standing on top of a giant sand dune gave us a full 360 degree of amazing views, every direction we looked gave us something else to shoot.

Donegal Castle (Irish: Caisleán Dhún na nGall) is a castle situated in the centre of Donegal Town in County Donegal, Ireland. For most of the last two centuries, the majority of the buildings lay in ruins but the castle was almost fully restored in the early 1990s.
The castle consists of a 15th-century rectangular keep with a later Jacobean style wing. The complex is sited on a bend in the River Eske, near the mouth of Donegal Bay, and is surrounded by a 17th-century boundary wall. There is a small gatehouse at its entrance mirroring the design of the keep. Most of the stonework was constructed from locally sourced limestone with some sandstone. The castle was the stronghold of the O'Donnell clan, Lords of Tír Conaill and one of the most powerful Gaelic families in Ireland from the 5th to the 16th centuries.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Part of the underground network beneath a coastal artillery battery point, dating from the late 19th century. It protected the mouth of Lough Swilly, County Donegal, Ireland during WWI.
There is another floor below this one. Although completely abandoned now, it's in surprisingly good condition, if somewhat dark and a little creepy.

I found this little lake & jetty in the middle of nowhere off the beaten path. It is an amazing little gem very quiet with not a single other person in sight, I actually just sat here at this scene for over half an hour just relaxing and thinking.
