The house that hosted Don Bosco until the age of 16 has been preserved as it was, except for conservation work. The rooms are few and humble: a stable, a kitchen, the bedroom of his mother and grandmother, the boys' bedroom, and a hayloft.
La casa che ospitò Don Bosco fino all'età di 16 anni è conservata così com'era, salvo gli interventi di conservazione. Gli ambienti sono pochi e poveri: stalla, cucina, camera della mamma e della suocera, camera dei ragazzi e fienile.
Die Basilika ist das Ziel vieler Pilger aus der ganzen Welt. Mit ein Grund dafür ist, dass hier das Werk Don Boscos seinen Anfang hatte und dass das Gotteshaus die sterblichen Überreste von Don Bosco, Maria Mazzarello und Dominikus Savio beherbergt. Am Patronatstag (24. Mai) wird alljährlich eine Maria-Hilf-Statue in Prozession durch die Stadt geführt, an der jeweils mehrere Zehntausend Menschen teilnehmen. Dieses Fest wird über Fernsehen und Radio in die ganze Welt übertragen.
