So five months later, this outfit finally arrived and — I’ve just been staring at it. For days now. This was one of the first things we bought way back in March, before we even had the heads in hand. It’s my first time waiting five months for an outfit (dolls, yes; outfits, not so much before now) and it was absolutely worth the wait. This is one of Wei Wuxian’s outfits from the Sunshot Campaign. Specifically, after he wakes and realizes the Wen remnants are being hunted and he’s not down with that. It is glorious pattern porn and I’m just like wow. Seriously. 😍 Right now it feels like dolls are taking the edge off of everythiing going on. We still don’t know what fall is going to look like for us, whether we’ll be in the school building or teaching remotely and likely we won’t know until 5 days before we’re due to be back in (because that’s when the school committee votes for the final time). Okay, so this is a comparison post for anyone else who might be wondering about the fit of the 5th Motif Venitu or Goohwa on a Dollshe craft 18M Classic Mystic body. ^_^ so here are a few photo comparisons of the head without any modifications on the neck, and I will say, it looks pretty short necked especially compared to other dolls, also there is little to no up or down pivotal motion, the side to side turning is okay. As you can see the range of motion as well as the length of the neck are definitely better with the neck donut, but it's still not perfect. I think that some kind of slight modification to the neck donut would greatly help the overall look and range of motion. And if I eventually do mod mine, I'll post more pics of how it turns out.^-^
I purchased the neck donut or "neck protector" as they call it, on Alice's Collections for $1.50. I hope this helps! :)
