Our Mini-Goldendoodle Puppy , looking back at me and saying "Please Don't Leave". Her First Overnight away from Home. ;))

I am sorry that I didn't speak to the handler of these dogs, but I know my intrusion would have broken their attention. Although it may have helped me to add the correct tags naming the breeds!

Taken during a walk with Bob around the village. Bob was stage left to the photo hence the reaction of the cat! She's not that fond of cats so we're trying to train her to be nice when we encounter one such as the one you see in the photo.

Happy weekends all round!

Marley, our GSD, was just 4 months old when we completed the first set of dog training classes and she was awarded this rosette and a certificate. She is now 9 years old and co-operated beautifully, lying still while I took photos of the rosette attached to her collar.

Macro Mondays: Hobby - spending time with my dog and teaching him tricks (not really a hobby, I’m not sure I really want share any of my really hobbies - the fact that I have a black belt in karate might scare you all). He's not usually happy sitting for the camera but he'll do anything for a bit of food.

Today has been horrendous [starting with a person and fatality under a train; the little old lady 3 doors up pasting away all alone; being stuck in countless traffic jams; and journeys which should take 10 minutes taking 50 mins, why is it that all roads are closed at the same time for road works?]. I nearly gave up on MM today but I needed a bit of a mindfulness break, hence the very late posting. HMM...

K2 Curious To Learn How Squirrels Climb Trees - IMRAN™

K2, my now one year old German Shepherd puppy, might think one day he’ll get to climb his namesake mountain, K2 in Pakistan. Perhaps that’s why he takes such interest in learning g to climb. That, or maybe he likes to chase squirrels. 😄

Copenhagen street, 2025.

........because it's very curly but she's good at scratching. She did manage a few wags though! Minky on the other paw is really good at it and does enough wags for both of them.

In autumn (August), the leaves of the fireweed turn bright red. After the fireweed is blossomed out, winter often arrives two weeks later.

My medical alert/response Service Dog, Addie. She is my lifeline. Please remember to be respectful of service dog teams!

Zack was found by a dog warden wondering the streets. He actually spent his first Birthday in kennels for this reason. These images were taken on his first day of being rehomed.

Coming up on three weeks with Daisy. Though she was almost 6 months old, she was mostly raw and it was like starting from scratch with everything. She's a work in progress, but she's going to be a good one - super smart and fearless. Bruno is delightfully exhausted. He's been so good to her, so patient and I'm so proud of him. I am sleep-deprived and haven't touched a camera since she arrived, but that will change with time.

Over the years I have felt the truest, purest love—the love of God, really, I imagine that's what God's love feels like—is the love that comes from your dog.

DOG SOCIALISING AT CHERISHED FARM SHOP

Sheep dog training in progress. I observed this amazing display near California State Route 113 at Cook Lane, Solano County, Northern California. A second shot, giving a better idea of the size of the herd, is inserted below.

I believe I could have taken some nicer images, but positioning to do that would have been disruptive. I was just a passerby, not an invited guest. I really enjoyed watching. I captured this for February’s Alphabet Fun: T is for Training

Hi dog lover,

No matter what your dog’s problem behavior is…

Be it jumping, peeing inappropriately, aggression, pulling on the leash…or whatever…

There is ONE SOLUTION that can help STOP this problem now

The sad fact is…

Most Dog trainers miss this solution entirely.

They give you cookie cutting training programs.

They use outdated and ‘mean’ dominance techniques.

Or worse yet…

They have no qualifications and are complete phonies.

So what’s the answer to stopping your Dog’s behavior problems?

In 4 simple words…

Discovering your dog’s hidden intelligence.

Let me explain…

In my 10 years as a certified trainer…there’s ONE BIG LESSON I have learned.

More intelligent dogs are better behaved.

A More intelligent dog takes commands easier

…and understands what you need from them.

The good news is…

No matter how clever you think your dog is.

Don’t waste a second longer coping with problem behaviors you don’t need to be dealing with.

Schnitzeljagd à la Mogli mit Wienerli

When my new Dad adopted me, I wasn’t leash trained. I lunged and leaped at everything. I hated dog leashes, now I nudge my dog leash when I need to go out, or feel like messing with Dad. When he says “Heal” I walk at his left side. He now takes me to PetsMart and every store that will let me in. He says we are socializing and I’m a really good dog. I love my new Dad.

Pearl is very agile and seems to like agility training.

Remember the movie My Left Foot?

It was an Oscar winning film with Daniel Day Lewis about 30 years ago.

Inside the movie he played a severely disabled boy.

…Only able to move his left foot.

Daniel had some severe behavioral problems.

He was a real handful and really frustrated.

Until that is…

One day-quite by accident- his family realized he was…

A GENIUS!

…And able to create amazing world class art work.

After that realization- everything changed.

The intelligence and gifts he had were unlocked.

His frustration and behavior problems stopped and there was an incredible Hollywood ending (a fairytale ending)

Here’s the point…

Inside your dog-there is incredible intelligence too.

I’ve seen it in hundreds of Dogs I’ve worked with.

And once you unlock that intelligence.

Most behavioral problems simply melt away.

And the bond with you and your dog grows stronger.
