When moving around with a macro lens, a completely new and fascinating world opens up. Found this incredible, alien-like structure while exploring the Akionlahti nature reserve in Oulu, Finland. It looks like a tiny football, but it is actually the ripening seed capsule of an Arctic Starflower (Lysimachia europaea).

I may just have to share a photo of Bandit at least once a week, seeing as how she follows me around and has gotten really good at photo “bombing” me or just out right getting in front of what I am trying to photograph (Brownie camera) and sitting there.
I have been also testing out the Ricoh “filters” the last few days. I usually shoot everything raw, and make corrections in post. I have been really having fun shooting in raw + jpgs lately to see the filter results. It is freeing.
P.S. Just noticed a little Rembrandt lighting going on.
Haven’t used my Canon camera in awhile with my favorite 100mm macro lens. So, I broke it out to use on some Snapdragons that came back up from last year.

Luz da janela também é uma excelente luz! Boa parte das minhas fotos, eu utilizo uma única fonte de luz. Afinal, o mundo é iluminado com apenas 1 luz(Sol) e a gente vê cada coisa linda por aí né? Mas lembrem-se, a fonte é uma só, mas ela não ilumina em uma única direção, ela sai "rebatendo em tudo que é canto" 😀👍 Basta você observar e aprender!!!

I will be honest, I am exhausted. Can’t wait to go to sleep! I thought I would capture a little cheer before I relax and go to sleep.
Blue Jays really making noise flying over head while the owl watched them and me.
Discovered this owl that has been visiting our yard the last few nights. We hear them, but hardly ever see them.
It has been raining pretty much for two days and this was from our drive home. Right when we got home it poured. The creek in front of our house is really rushing. We may have some flooding on the road tonight.
Sitting on the porch chillin listening to some really scary night noises. Some animals do not sound ok. Yikes! Not sure what craziness is happening in in the dark tonight.
