"Reunion" documents the family reunion of three sisters Jeannine Marot, Hélène Le Moal, and Rosette Lafoy and four generations of their descendants in 2004. It is the last time all three matriarchs and their families were gathered together in one place. Over a week's time family members from around the world met at the family home Les Maurinières, a large country home set next to an idyllic river in the middle of France.
I was there as a guest, with my life partner, grandson of Jeannine Marot. I didn't speak the language and didn't know many people, so I decided to discover this new family through my lens.
Together we ate, drank, talked and played family Olympics, then ate and drank some more.
