This is called Witch Hazel...not to be confused with the clear liquid you put on cotton balls and put under your eyes to get rid of the bags... (*_*)
How many people struggled with patience?
How long have anyone tried?
They always turn their back and rush
But surely they are dying inside
There’s always a yearning inside
That keeps the spirit free
But there’s always a rush into everything
Which needs to remind everyone that success comes with patience
Some may have been lost before
Lack of patience and sometimes they forget how
As everyone gets older, there’s always a yearning inside
To be successful but success comes patience within
ODC-Radical Point Of View
I have a Doctor's Appointment this morning and I'm doing it virtually. We are all set up to do the call. Technology certainly has taken the place (out of necessity) of human contact in our lives in a big way!
09.30 i am thankful for health insurance!
tonight carl and i covered a trifecta of health issues for me: dentist (more to be done), picked up new glasses (must adjust) AND the piece de resistance (sp) the mri for my shoulder (waiting for results).
when i have to do these kinds of appointments i often think how very blessed i am to have a job with decent insurance so that this is not a worry. i can go to the doctor. i can go to the dentist. i can get new glasses. and i think of the many who cannot. and i pray for answers to the seemingly unsolvable dilemma that this country is in: we are the richest yet children starve and go without roofs over their heads and decent healthcare. we live in a country where millions upon millions are spent to shed pounds and so much of the rest of the world is withering away. i pray for all of us and i pray for answers. but i am grateful. i am also wicked guilty.
oh, back to the carp: the building that my orthopedic surgeon and mri is in has a lovely carp pond and a vaulted glass ceiling. i am thankful for all that beauty!

Susan waits for the results of that MRI. She's already waited two days. Then two hours in the Oncology Clinic at St Georges while a shambolic reception drags everything out. She keeps waiting for Prof Dalgleish to come in and tell us what the MRI revealed. But at first he doesn't know. The report hasn't arrived. Two days late. He disappears to chase it down
I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor. I had a good visit. One slight negative was I put 5lbs. more of weight since my last appointment.

I took Cooper to the doctor today. He's had a sore on his bum for about a week and a half that I couldn't get rid off. Turns out he has impetigo. So it looks like we will be using the disposable diapers because of the medication until it clears up.

a hunt for glasses. I return to Buffalo, empty-handed, and await your call.
I do these twice a week at the doctors office to make sure baby is a happy little guy in the womb, which so far - he has been.

Grace had her 4 year checkup today. I was so not prepared for this. **Sniff, sniff** My baby's not a baby anymore. I just need to accept it and move on. This appointment was like a physical even down to the paper exam gown. She passed all the tests with flying colors. She can hear, see, is not color blind, has good blood pressure and can jump on one foot. As the doctor and I joked, passing all of these tests clearly makes her a genius. Genius, not so sure but she definitely holds my heart in her hands.

I had to wait a while for the doctor so I thought I'd take a photo of the big blue gown. So flattering. Hear the heart beat.

Today Anna had a hearing test followed by an appointment with an ENT specialist. The hearing test indicated moderate hearing loss due to middle ear fluid. She had a similar problem when she was two years old and had PE tubes placed then which have since fallen out. The ENT wants to try a two-week course of antibiotics then check her in three weeks to see if there is any improvement. If not, she'll get another set of PE tubes and her adenoids removed. She was such a good girl at these appointments. Can you believe that we had the same audiologist we had seven years ago? She was very patient and kind with Anna, and of course, Anna had to show her all of the things her new baby doll, Shirley, could do.
Today was Eleanore's 3 year checkup. Shes off the charts, a little woman compared to other girls her age.

I'm holding my hand like this because my necklace broke right as I was ready to take the picture. The necklace is a goner- just cheap old costume jewelry, but I wanted to wear it in the shot.
One doctor's appointment down, one more to go today. V.good news at the orthodontist! I'm in the home stretch with my braces- quite possibly only one more month to go!!! I can not adequately express my happiness at this news with mere punctuation.
I'm only working a half day today due to the second doctor's appointment this afternoon.
Notice the new hair color! I'm on my way to no more fakeyfake red, and I am loving it. I actually think I look prettier with a more natural look.
Happy Monday everyone!
Last time he was there, he put up quite a fight. He was so loud, they can still recall it, a year later.
If I did have a window into my soul though, I'd want one of those dark round ones from a '70's custom van. And if I had carpet in my soul, I'd want it to be orange shag.
I took this while waiting for my 4:00 doctors appointment at the Naturopathic Clinic at PCC Sylvania. It was supposed to be a 4:45 appointment, but the office put it in their books as 3:15 (I have the appointment card to prove it was at 4:45). When they called to verify my appointment it went something like this:
Lady on phone: I'm calling to verify your 3:15 appointment tomorrow.
Me: I don't have a 3:15 appointment, I have a 4:45 appointment.
Lady on phone: No, you're in the book at 3:15
Me: No, I have a card in front of me that says 4:45.
Lady on phone: I'm sorry, but that spots taken. Can you take the 3:15?
Me: Mmmm, I don't think I can make that
Lady on phone: How about 4:00?
I took the 4:00, I was quite vexed, as I had set the appointment 2 weeks ago. I could have taken the 3:15, but you should always turn down the first offer-it's the principle of the matter.
Today was one of those days. The kind where you just want to bury your face in your pillow and emerge yourself in self pitty. Why why why, you ask yourself. Why me.
