Boeing 737-8AS EI-DLX msn 33600/2082 Ryanair Riga International Airport RIX/EVRA Latvia Brussels(CRL) - Riga(RIX)
After seeing the early R8 214 on my way to the show, I was presented with this on my way out!
I have seen this Monty once before, on the other side of town where I work in Cleveleys, about a month ago. It was being driven by a lady I'd say was in her late 50s/early 60s.
It's done 208,000 miles, and seems to fail it's MOT every year miserably, but she's obviously keen to keep it going. I imagine it's a very reliable old bus.

Our DLX Stretch Adapter has a built-in focusing helicoid that allows you to turn any lens into a macro lens with a simple twist. These photos were captured with a Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4G lens and a Sony A7S. The first photo was captured in the adapter's normal mode, and the second was captured at the adapter's maximum focusing helicoid extension.

Derek Randall provided the industry with plenty of colour and interest during his brief of operation from 1979 to 1985. He sprang up in 1979 with a fleet of 16 new Reliance / Plaxtons, right at the end of AEC production, but thereafter turned to DAF (45 chassis), and next to Scania (35 chassis), with Jonckheere being the main beneficiary, bodying 69 of them. No doubt Roeselare Coach Sales, the Jonckheere dealer, were glad of his custom too.
The main focus of his operation was shuttle work down to France, Spain and Italy, but the odd Blackpool lights trip could be fitted in as well, although given that the business failed in 1985, and this was the final weekend of the lights for 1984, we were possibly witnessing the firm's last ever coach at the resort ! The livery would certainly appear in the town for many more years, as it was one of those colour schemes that was retained and adapted by many firms over time.
DLX 43Y was one of the 35 Scania K112 / Jonckheere Jubilees delivered in 1983/4, and helped to establish both marques firmly in the British market. This vehicle ended up being very long-lasting, and widely travelled - it left in early 1985, before the closure, and spent some years with Nationwide at Lanark, followed by nearly a decade in Devon, and three years in north Wales. Its last 13 years were spent in east Kent, where it was finally retired in 2014, at the age of 31.
