Shatter is a new Dublin-based Drum & Bass music collective founded in 2012 by veteran Irish DJ’s Mecca, Johnny Mac, Nippoman and Executive Steve. We intend to put our well over 30 years collective experience of gigging, promoting, producing, hustling, buying records, releasing records, handing out flyers in the pissing rain, trolling forums, making videos, pretending loads of people came to our night and losing shitloads of money to very good use in the weeks, months and years ahead.
Shatter will be a home for uncompromising breakbeat-focused electronic music and a showcase for the finest in Irish and International talent.
As urbanized as California is, it's amazing that there are still little places like this. San Bernardino has a lot of small, local restaurants and hang outs like this. DJ's Coffee shop has been around since before I was even born.
I took this with my Minolta SRT-101 camera, and Kodak Ektar 100 film.
Film Destroying Recipe: "Lava Lamp"
Ingredients:
• 1 Roll Agfa CT Precisa 100 35mm.
• 1 Dishwasher Cycle with Detergent (normal)
• 1 Dark Room
• 1 Hair Dryer
Process:
1) Put your roll of film into the cutlery basket of your dish-washer, (so as to keep it from flying about) add regular dish-washer detergent and set to a normal cycle.
2) Once the cycle is finished be sure to rinse the film in clean cold* water afterwards thoroughly
3) Dry in dark room with hair dryer

DJ's Erick E and Fedde Le Grand threw a balloon powered houseparty at 4500 feet for the Radio538&Warchild charity week.
The largest Dutch radio station and the charity that helps children and parents from war-torn regions setup a stunt-filled week to raise funds to help as many children as possible. People could get chosen to do all sorts of stunt by texting the special number. Persons lucky enough to send the xxth text message were chosen for the stunt. In this case 60 people for a rare feat: tying three hot air ballons for a house party at 4500 feet!
As a senior Radio538 photographer, I was asked to photograph one of the coolest stunts of the week and got to climb aboard the formerly largest hot air balloon in the world with a group of collegues.

Wanna become a Female DJ - Voorronde 2. Een donderdagavond in maart @ Escape Studio. Een viertal dames tonen hun skillz in de booth. De muziekstijlen liepen uiteen van Club, via (Tech)House naar Progressive met hier en daar een vleugje Trance. Onder een vakjury worden de mixkwaliteiten van de vrouwelijke DJ's beoordeeld. Smaken verschillen natuurlijk, maar duidelijk werd wel dat House de boventoon voerde en het meest gewaardeerd werd door de vakjury uiteindelijk. Misschien ook wel vanwege de belangrijkste doelgroep voor de dames? De jeugd. Gezellig was het zeker wel. Drie mooie dames in de scene strijden volgende week donderdag om de hoogste eer en mooie prijzen. Weer in de Escape, waar dan ook een dansvloer ingericht zal zijn. Dus dat belooft weer een mooie avond te worden. Alle drie dames DJ's, heel veel succes! En wat mij betreft graag tot 18 maart :)
