snatched a pic of these babies while in pittsburgh. they were knit pre-digital camera. based on a pattern from the early 1970s and knit from some thrifted yarn 50% wool/50% acrylic. i was super happy with how these turned out. appearantly he hadn't been wearing them much, so i told him i'd fix them or make him a new pair if they wore out. hopefully that will be incentive. if we move to pittsburgh i can monitor such things (just kidding). just what we need, a tyranical knitter :). pattern booklet here and pic here.

Double Exposure - DJ Duo "Fleetwood Smack" with the crowd super imposed via double exposure. THIS IS NOT A REFLECTION.
The double exposure was done on purpose. I aimed the camera high so that the top of the second exposure was dark, and the crowd was well lit. The background on the top, and DJ's faces where well lit, but their equipment table, and hoodies where dark, leading the shadows at the bottom to merge with the second exposure of the well lit crowd.

Halloween conjures up visions of witches, goblins, vampires, bats and ghoul. Many places on the Second Life grid are featuring pumpkin patches, scarey haunted houses and ghoulish images.
But the real horror is our own nightmares. We found a place called The Funhouse. Insane & totally demented! Digging deep into our psyche, this builder has created a horror so compete that it may drive you mad. (We went three times... plan to spend at least 2 hours).
A bit of a respite after this torture, I hit Club Industry. Goth, industrial, noize, psypop, trance and more are featured at this club 24/7. DJ DaemonChadeau spins there, too. So appropriate for the Halloween spirits!
Also, BassLine Junkiez is having a big Halloween party on Oct 31st. Liqwid, Doubledown, Vacano, Rentmaster and others are the featured DJ's. I'm sure Xavier & I will hit that one.

You would have to be living under a rock not to have heard of Pauly D. Born in Providence, R.I., Paul 'DJ Pauly' DelVecchio is recognised for his musical talent as well as his reality star status on MTV's highest rated show, Jersey Shore, which premiered in December 2009. Quickly a fan favourite, MTV announced Pauly as the first cast member to receive his own spinoff, The Pauly D Project, which chronicles his life as a celebrity DJ.
It's been a meteoritic rise to fame, and in 2010, DJ Pauly released his first single entitled Beat Dat Beat, which quickly climbed the charts, further establishing his place in pop culture. In 2011, Pauly won Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star at the Teen Choice Awards after being nominated for the second year in a row. This powerhouse DJ has been honoured as one of US Weekly's hottest bodies and came in close second to Vin Diesel in People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook' contest.
DJ Pauly D will perform at HQ Nightclub in Adelaide on January 24; Festival Hall in Melbourne on January 25; the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on January 26; and Platinum Nightclub on the Gold Coast on January 27.

In order to celebrate his marriage, Brenno de Winter gave a big "Winter is Coming" party at Hackerspace Hack42 especially for all his friends in the hacker-scene. Unfortunately, the bride was taken ill and was unable to attend.

They are probably more known for her band "Elle Bandita" where they play guitar, but at STORM they played the DJ in the secondary area for a few times.

Stopped in to say hi to DJ Renanyoy over at Divaz Lounge. I run into Ren everywhere. We met a long time ago over at Organica last year and was one of the very few DJ's who welcomed me as a total noob on the music scene. TY Renanyoy!
I saw quite a few people there at Divaz, too and stayed for Alicedea's set. Both her and Jara are DJ's here and they have their own club.
Xavier and I went over to Organica for a DJ Alexi's set. Both of us enjoy her presentations... her's is a performance always... taking us on a goa journey beyond time... so surreal, so ethereal...
I also stopped in to say hi to one of my very favorite DJ's, Zap Hax. He is part of a partnership on a new club called ACTVY. Check it out peeps; and check the video art!
Old friends over at Milky Way sim were calling. So I went over to say hi to the boss-man IPR360 who was spinning some tracks at the Warehouse. Wow! It is kinda rare to hear him spin. Cool tracks always from IPR365.
Then a final stop over at Dance Island... I heard DJ Roxette Mabellon was spinning! OMG! Rox! She owns Dance Island... where does she have the time to spin? 100 people were there vying for a spot on the dance floor. EVERYONE came out to hear her spin!
And then later on, I went back to Divaz for DJ Digital Francis set. I couldn't stay long, but Digi always has a fun set... always puts a part of himself in the spins themselves.
Ahhhh... the DJ's. I admit it. I am a major fan of the DJ's here in SL. Can't help it... 'cause they are the party makers... without them, no party, no event and no happy times for me! Wooot! Peace out!
