Our weather has been crazy for the past week. We had about 4 in....10cm of rain and then it got cold! The trees were glistening with ice....so beautiful!

I am looking forward to shooting again in my hometown as the last time I snapped a shot was a few weeks back.

There was enough motion in the Allegheny River to keep the waters from a perfect reflection.

After running out of creative ideas I finally took the time to reverse the front element of my Helios lens. This modification is pretty easy to do and results in a wild swirl bokeh, however the sharpness is heavily reduced. Anyway, if you don't care that much about sharpness, give it a try! I really like the results due to its dreamy look and the very unusual bokeh. I hope you like it too!
