This image is all about reflections. The thin ice made a perfect mirror for nice reflections of the clouds
A happy accident... I was aiming to do a foggy version of this location to go with the snowy one I took 6 months ago. I had set up my tripod and was composing the shot quickly. I could see the morning mist was burning away in front of my eyes, and knew I only had a few minutes to perhaps get anything worthwhile... Then this chap appeared with his dog, and I thought... aw great, you could have waited 2 minutes fella, now I'll need to wait, until you walk out of shot, and the fog's disappearing...
I quickly realised that he had actually just done me a massive favour, and I began firing off shots as he walked with his dog down the tree lined avenue into the light. I didnt plan this at all, but I'm happy the way things worked out.
If you can spare the time, it's worth viewing larger. I'll also stick the snowy version in the comments so you can see the shot I mentioned above, and compare.

Could it possibly be shining "through" the building!?! The strong
sun is 'blaring' directly behind it!?! I don't know, but probably not.
Cross was only there for seven minutes... and then it was gone]

I was messing around with my new zoom lens, and I was creepily looking out my window. There was an incredible sunset, then I noticed a neat perspective on the roof of my roommate's car.
My mom walking our greyhounds through Potter's Bridge. The trees and flowers hadn't started budding quite yet, but it was a beautiful Spring day walking along the White River.
We are all searching for something in our day to day lives

This piece is a commission, intended to serve as a backdrop to a Christian worship service focused on the call of God to serve in desolate places, based on the calling of Moses at the Burning Bush, in the Bible's Old Testament, see: Exodus 2:23-24, 3: 1-22, & 4:1-5.
Both upper and lower sections are constructed from my own photographs, and the shadowy, veiled image in the upper section of the Theophany is derived from the tympanum sculpture of Christ, on the center, west portal, of Chartres Cathedral, from c. 1140-50.
yospyn.com/ - Limekiln is just south of Lucia on Highway One along the California coast. It has everything for the Big Sur experience, including beach access, coastal camping, redwood forests, cascading waterfalls, streams, and there's a spot in the middle of the woods containing four giant kilns that were used to make lime. Redwoods are so gigantic that I hardly ever saw the sunlight break through to the forest floor. I'm glad this is my 200th photo.
In January 2008, Governor Arnold proposed this park be shut down until enough money is available to reopen it. There's a lot of California parks on the list.
This was part of a camping trip I did down Highway One. Big Sur is amazing, but Carmel and Pinnacles National Monument are also a must see. My only regrets about this trip are that I didn't make Yosemite (next year I think) and I didn't have my Mini (nothing personal against the Hyundai Elantra).

Taken in the Bell cave (Meaarat Ha-paamon) in Beth Govrin. The light was coming beautifuly through the hole nad it created an unusual phenomena, like his prayers have been answered (or somebody got really pissed at him).

The Church of St Edward was built between the 11th and the 15th centuries. It stands on the site of the original Saxon church, believed to have been of wood. The tower, completed in 1447, is 88' high and houses the heaviest peal of bells, eight in all, in Gloucestershire. A clock with chimes has existed there since 1580. The present clock was made in 1926. The painting of the Crucifixion in the south aisle was painted by Gaspar de Craeyer (1582-1669), a contemporary of Reubens and Van Dyck. Many features of this outstanding Cotswold Church may be attributed to the town's prosperity as a centre of the wool trade.

The legends say that in 832AD Óengus II on the eve of a battle at Athelstaneford against the Angles prayed to St Andrew to grant him victory against the bigger army , he would make St Andrew the Patron Saint of Scotland . On the moring of the battle the clouds made a cross shape that the Scots and picts thought was the crux decussata that St Andrew was crucified on and a sign of divine intervention and after the Scots and picts won the battle Óengus II kept his promise and St Andrew became the patron Saint of Scotland and the Saltire became our flag
