The new 340 metre long Disney cruise liner leaves the dockyard port of the Meyer Werft towards the North Sea. However, before the ship reaches the North Sea, it still has to travel around 30 nautical miles on the very narrow Ems.

Had a great time last week cruising the Caribbean with the Disney Cruise Line: View 406: Four Days at Sea.
I had been dragging my feet on Disney Cruise Line for a while despite Sarah's pleas to go, but we finally went last weekend after finding a last-minute deal that was too good to resist. To say I was pleasantly surprised by Disney Cruise Line would be an understatement. It was an incredible experience, and one I'm sure we'll be doing again soon.
I wrote about my initial impressions of DCL in this blog post: "How 'Not Sure I’m A Cruise Person' Became 'When Do We Go On Disney Cruise Line Again?!'"

Below are the various ways you can connect with me across the internet where I actively share my photos. The first one is my Disney-centric blog and the second is my travel-centric blog.

Cozumel for us was a bust. The excursion we booked ended up not working out so we just went to the local Mega to get Cheerios for Addison (the ship didn't have any). The really only consolidation was that it had a good view of the ship.

The lovely Megara, of Disney's Hercules, was posing for photographers at Tokyo's Disney Sea when I caught this shot.
This shot was from a visit to Disney World taken with my family when I was about 17 or 18 years old. That would place this photo around 1972- 1973.
Disney is one of those few places that changes, but not in bad ways, and always seems to look the same over time, which is pretty amazing, since it is now at least 43 years older. It would be nice if the real world aged as gracefully and seemed to change as little!
The shot was taken by my mother. Mom was not a great photographer, but thankfully, she did manage to record a lot of memories, which I can salvage. Time isn't a friend to photos any more than it is to buildings or people, and one of poor quality, taken by an amateur, and weathered by decades of time is not always much to work with. I've done what I could to pull up details and restore some color.

Tokyo Disney Resort
Just getting back on a normal sleep schedule after my very first visit to Tokyo Disney Resort. As the trip approached it looked like it was going to rain each and every day. But once I got there, the weather was gorgeous (if a little warm) nearly every day which created lots of opportunities for some shooting of this wonderful park.
Since this was my very first visit to the park I didn't want all of my experiences to be thru the viewfinder of the camera. I wanted to experience it fully which resulted in far fewer shots than I might normally take when visiting a Disney park. While that reduced the number of shots I got (still have lots) I'm glad I did as it gave me a better opportunity to just experience the park without obsessing about missing a shot here or there.
