Who would have known that the "dishwasher-proof" symbol that you can find on the underside of food containers (usually made of plastic) reveals a somewhat quirky, but definitely cute and smiling face? It's pareidolia time again :) Mr. Dishwasher-proof's face is 6x6mm / 0,23x0,23 inches "big", so the entire frame isn't much bigger than that. Illuminated with the usual suspects of make-shift colour filters, and photographed in 2:1 magnification with the Laowa 50mm f/2,8 macro lens. I was able to get about the same magnification (cropped) with the Oly's High-Res Mode and the M.Zuiko 60mm (1:1) macro lens, and the tiny 30mm F2.5 macro lens is somewhat in-between the two with its native 1,25x magnification which was interesting to see.
I'm very busy today and will catch up with you tonight.
HMM, Everyone, and have a great week ahead!
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
We start them young. :)
I had such a fun morning doing Jefra's blink thing. My sister reminded me on Saturday how much fun I used to have just playing.

39 of 365: I don't use my dishwasher to wash dishes but to air dry dishes. Otherwise, if I waited for it to get filled with dirty dishes, I'd need to eat off of paper plates.
Back to work today. It felt so wrong stopping work on the flat and leaving Tim to it! I've really loved working together over the past week and a half, and weirdly enjoyed the work itself too. I did help him move the washing machine into the kitchen before I left this morning - and helped level up the cooker this evening, so I'm not completely out of the game.
Tim did loads more today, securing all the worktops, plumbing in the washing machine and dishwasher, and lots of other bits and pieces. It was lovely to come home this evening and see yet more progress!
Meanwhile, I had a pretty good day at work. Spoke to my Mum on the way in this morning - it's her Birthday, and she'd just disembarked from a mini cruise she's been on with my Uncle Terry for the last few days. Lovely to catch up with her and hear all about it. At lunchtime, I walked down to Liverpool Street and met up with my friend Kelly and her family. They live in New Zealand, but won a Roald Dahl themed trip to London recently. Great to see them, if briefly - and I'll hopefully see them again tomorrow if little Daisy recovers in time from whatever bug she was coming down with today.
Also took delivery today of the new Regina Spektor album - so excited! The train was absolutely rammed on the way home, so I was forced to listen to it instead of trying to find elbow room to read my book. What a shame ;)

Caught sight of my reflection while I was doing the dishes. Worthwhile sometimes not to use the dishwasher :-)

Thanks and enjoy your day.
February 9th. Getting it in early. I call it photography, he calls it avoiding emptying the dishwasher. No forks were posed in the taking of this picture. Shot straight from dishwasher!
Please replace my position, Big Cat. I must travel to Sahara desert ^^ This is a magic dishwater which clean all the dishes in 30 seconds :))
Printed on cotton fabric, made into a quilt sandwich, quilted. It's about 7.5" square -- very tiny! I could have a great future in potholders -- ha ha ha.
By the way we do not have a light tent. But we do have mounting tape and a nice white dishwasher, which you can see in the background.
Luckily, the weather forecast for the day before yesterday, 11 June 2021, was good, as I just had to escape from the banging and drilling noise that is created by the workmen still repairing my building. On top of that, there was additional banging and drilling as a different repair company came to my neighbours' homes to start repairs on ceiling damage caused by a leaking dishwasher. Most unfortunate for both families! Walls are thin enough that noise from one home is heard in others. Anyway, I had a great day out, quiet and rewarding. Sunny, but the wind increased as the day went on and the further south I travelled. A total of 254 km driven this day.
All the roads were ones that I had driven before, apart from one short back road. Bird sightings made for a great day, even though they were all familiar species. A Red-winged Blackbird - surprise, surprise! - was the first bird to be seen, followed by three Wilson's Snipe, all perched on fence posts.
A Bobolink was one of the highlights of the day for me. Perched on a fence post, singing its little heart out, it gave me a chance to take a short video. Of course, the bird would have to land on a fence post (seen in the video) that had rather annoying, long blades of grass across its face, ha. I didn't want to restart my car and reverse to get a slightly better view, in case the bird flew. Hearing their song is such a delight. After looking at many Bobolink photos on Google, I think the beak of the bird I photographed must have some kind of deformity on the lower mandible. If that is the case, then I suspect this bird is the same individual that I photographed last year, at exactly the same place.
Before heading further south, I caught sight of a very distant bird of prey, perched on a fence post. I will need help to identify what kind it was. After quite a drive, I almost missed two Swainson's Hawks that were on fence posts, with a couple of bare posts in between them. Unable to stop in time, I cautiously reversed, expecting that both would fly off. Luckily, they both stayed and I was able to get a few photos - such beautiful birds. Came across a pair of Mountain Bluebirds along the same road.
Of course, seeing a few favourite silos and a barn or two makes any day special. By the time, I reached the silos, though, the wind had picked up and it was all I could do to take a few quick shots. A few photos were taken from the road, looking down on the Bar U Ranch. Later in the summer, I will hopefully visit the whole ranch again.
Heading eastwards, I returned to the city via the south-east. Eastern and Western Kingbirds, plus a few 'regulars', added to the enjoyment of the day.
