___Ziga es uno de los 15 lugares que conforman el Valle de Baztan, situado a unos 50 kilómetros de Pamplona, en Navarra (España). En 2018 tenía 188 habitantes.
Limita con los pueblos de Almandoz, Aniz y Berroeta que junto a ellos procede a ser el cuartel Basaburua de los cuatro que hay en Baztán.
Se encuentra en el denominado Mirador de Baztan, ya que desde él se pueden contemplar unas buenas vista del valle.
Su principal edificio es la iglesia parroquial de San Lorenzo, construida entre 1593 y 1603.
Otros de los edificios destacables en este pueblo son: -El palacio de Egozcue -la casa Indartea -La casa Iturrigaraia_

From the spot I spotted the comet from. The upper birds are Seagulls, the lower Mallard Ducks. There's quite a flock of freeloading urban Mallards that hang out at the park, and people come down and feed them. They're on their way back to the water in disgust, after they waddled up to the car and all I pulled out was a camera.
There's a video here of them coming up to meet a guy that called them.

This is the reason I take in every Monarch egg and caterpillar....
Tachinid fly larvae feed on monarch caterpillars, but usually don't kill their hosts until just before the caterpillars pupate. When a parasitized caterpillar hangs upside down in the pre-pupal “J”-shape, several tachinid fly larvae or maggots will come out of the monarch caterpillar.
Even our National symbol is showing his disgust for the current state of affairs here in the USA.
I'm leaving the comment box off here because I do not want to start a big, huge political discussion. Many people get extremely nasty, mean and ugly (from both sides of the fence) in those kind of discussions.
Flickr for me is not the place for that. But I couldn't pass this up. After what happened in our Capital yesterday.
My hope for this country's future is that we find peace and a way to work together. But I'm sure not going to hold my breath. It would be nice to not feel the USA has become the laughing stock of the entire world. I'm sure not laughing.

This disgusting gooey stuff grows quickly - overnight - now in the fall after a drenching rain. Look for it on open areas, such as bare soil and gravel driveways. Believe it or not, but you can actually eat this algae! A brave co-worker and I both sampled some during our lunch break, and we were unimpressed by its texture and taste. If you desire some fresh seaweed tossed into your dinner salad tonight, star jelly is right up your alley.

Two days ago I was out shooting pictures and I found a pond covered in brown scum. I snapped about 20 photos thinking it would look really artistic. There were trees framing the pond. Beautiful yet disgusting.
They came out “rubbish”, so I am posting two photos of sailboats in a local marina.
This one comes to Virginia all the way from the State of Washington on the West Coast.

She did figure out a way to lay on my arm that didn’t keep me from typing. Which was fine with me - and she started to nap - but after a while she made a disgusted noise & left. Don’t know if it was arm wiggle or keyboard noise. I have had coworkers comment over cube walls about the sound/speed of my typing before. Never while WFH though! Added to Happy Caturday for 10 July 2021 theme “Cats and Electronics.”
