This is taken from the building, where the director lived. You can see the weavery building with the machine halls to the left and the second boiler house with its chimney.
A little bit of history:
The first weaving mill, operated by hydro power, was built in 1851. Then 1857 another owner rebuild the mill to steam power. 1879 a "J.A. sen." bought the mill and his family (son and his nephew) owned it until 2004, when the factory finally closed after many years of crisis due to descreasing demand and out-dated equipment. From 1964 on staff has to be released and the last time only the owner alone lived and worked in his factory. He stayed there until his death in 2011, some buildings already in ruines.

in a café in paris. i asked if i could take her photo. she handed me her phone. told me where to stand. how to frame her. i said i was a photographer. that i would use my own camera. and that her composition wasn’t ideal. she didn’t listen. insisted. so i took the iphone shots. she wasn’t satisfied. "farther away," she kept saying. after this strange shoot, i took two photos with my camera. ignored her directions. she looked doubtful. went inside. came out with another man. he photographed her too. she didn’t look at me again. i sent her my photos on instagram. later, as she walked past, she smiled. said, “très bien.”

Director Krennic with his custom DT-29 blaster and his Arealight cape and waistcape. Loved this character in Rogue One and catalyst and felt he needed some upgrades.

a friend gave me this lovely pocket mirror with wilde's classic quote. i put the mirror in my purse and completely forgot about it.
yesterday, on my walk home from work (after a long day and a long week), i found this treasure while looking for something else. and i smiled at the serendipity: a found mantra, right when i needed it.
this saying has many meanings. for me, this week, i pressed too hard--tried to be the best teacher ever and a social director and a counselor. really, all i needed to be was myself; when that happens, everything else falls into place. the more me i am (really me, not ego me), the more genuine, helpful, and kind are my interactions.
(now you: mantra)

“Cuando tendía mi brazo
para revolear el lazo
sobre algún toro feroz,
si el toro nos embestía,
al fiero animal rendía
de una pechada veloz...
En la guardia de frontera,
paraba oreja agorera
del indio al sordo tropel
y con relincho sonoro,
daba el alerta mi moro
como centinela fiel...”

"Oh, it's... beautiful"
Director Orson Krennic inside the Main Overbridge aboard the first Death Star occupying the planet Scarif
This scene was made in a collaboration between my fellow friend tz_machine, who brought this scene to life and me, who designed the Overbridge MOC itself. When we first got images of the movie Rogue One back in 2016, I instantly fall in love with the one where Krennic stood inside the Overbridge in his imperial outfit looking directly into the camera.
Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars movies and it’s visuals are spectacular! Thus I had to design the Overbridge, which was first seen in A New Hope from 1977, where Tarkin ordered to destroy Alderaan.
The MOC contains a total of 2415 pieces.

Fire Salamander (Salamandra salamandra) is gazing to the waterfalls in a perfect pose to catch this shot. It was a rainy day around The Kopren waterfalls in Bulgaria and the slamandaras were everywhere in the forest. It took me about an hour to catch the salamandra without moving for this long exposure shot
Last June, I unexpectedly witnessed some pomp and ceremony surrounding the annual service of the Order of the Garter at Windsor.
Pictured is the Director of Music of the Coldstream Guards Regimental Band, one of a number that belong to the Household Division.
I was prompted to upload this after seeing (on TV) a similarly attired officer in the procession that accompanied the late Queen's final departure from Buckingham Palace in September 2022. However, he was from the Scots Guards and was wearing a sash with different detail, and the individuals were wearing different selections of medals.
