This was my diorama submission. We were to re-create a scene, so this came to mind. This was inspired by the late Alexander McQueen's Fall 2006 collection, Savage Beauty. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO VOTED FOR ME!! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. :). xoxo

Het regent en ik schuil in een hut.
Voor mij een levend diorama.
Door de regen is alles onscherp, maar dat geeft ook een dromerig effect.
Deze Grote Canadese Ganzen en Lepelaar links zoeken een veilig heenkomen. Ze verlaten de grasvelden vanwege de vossen die daar 's nachts jagen.

A display at the Tiskiwin museum, Marrakech. Looked like a diorama but there were no mannequins underneath the djellabas (traditional hooded gowns of the Moroccans).

This trains deep in the Thompson River White Canyon looks more like an HO train diorama. I took the picture from the Highway 1 Skihist rest area, looking down and across the Thompson River. A few hundred metres down the track, the train inters the first of three-slide sheds before proceeding into the tunnels.
Het tafereel van de V90 en de trekker lijkt net een diorama. De werkelijkheid is dat BOEG 295 057 (MaK, 1976) als losse loc langs Praest komt terwijl de trekker zojuist begonnen is om het land om te ploegen. De trekker is overigens van Nederlandse komaf gezien het kenteken: vermoedelijk een boer die zich als ZZP’er heeft uitgeleend aan het plaatselijke agrarische gilde. De V90 is op weg naar Emmerich om daar het een en ander op te halen.
Deutsch: diese Szene mit der V90 und dem Traktor ähnelt ein Diorama. Ein Paar Preiser-Figuren dazu und fertig. Die Wirklichkeit ist aber das BOEG 295 057 (MaK, 1976) als Tfzf an Praest vorbei kommt auf ihrem Wege nach Emmerich, weil der Traktor grade ihre Arbeit auf dem Feld angefangen hat.

I didn't get a chance to work on all the things I wanted during my time off but I did manage to get the tinies' diorama together. The decorations are some rements and some other things I've been collecting over the years. The furniture is made by my husband, and I made everything else. It makes me ridiculously happy to have it done. Dioramas guys, they're awesome.
So I was on a roll last night after I finished the custom Han I built the Diorama also for him and Chewie.
The situation calmed down quickly, as long as the distance remained stable for the time being. At the moment, it seems that just a simple small step closer to the foot causes snow rising into the air from the ground...
In fact, you can view the situation explained above as I have uploaded 8 alternative frames from this session. Geee…!

This diorama depicts American Airlines Lockheed L-188 Electra N6101A, which crashed near La Guardia Airport on February 3, 1959.

Xylzeb was very pleased with the new power generator. Soon the eggs would hatch and there would be many, many more of his kind ... enough to colonise the galaxy.
I have been having fun making this over the weekend. It is made out of paper and card and Hetty is helping me with sizing.
I guess I am about half way through the project......there is still a lot to do.
I haven't glued down the floor yet, or the advertisements on the wall yet......I am testing out placements with good old blue tack. Then I need to add greenery and perhaps some bunting too.
I am not following any plan but I am making it up as I go along.
But I have designed this diorama so that it can be stored flat when not in use.
The flower cart was a lucky buy from 'B&M' last week. I had the choice of getting it in either terracotta red, green or this colour.
I am having such fun! ((^_^))
I made this diorama for the cover of the latest issue of "Voiceworks" magazine. It took a really long time to make and even longer to get the photograph right (lighting/angles/file size etc) but I am really pleased with how it came out.
p.s I had help with the photography from Tim Anderson and Ryan Paine helped me hold up the fluorescent lights.
