Amadeus is one of our more interesting dining spots and features central European fare. I often seem to be drawn to photos of this table, which is adjacent to the front door. I had lunch on July 7, 2014 with two of my siblings at Weber's Inn, a long-time restaurant and lodging destination on the northwest side of Ann Arbor. This is the drawer-leaf dining table again but with both leaves extended. The one flaw with this design is that the top (centre) is liable to cupping as the timber adjusts to seasonal changes in humidity which, as I've discovered, can mean that the leaves don't line up perfectly with the ends of the main top. Aside from that, the 'mechanism' is very reliable and solid.
1940s outdoor dining table and chairs with a vitrolite/milk glass top. This table could be used indoors or out. Comes with upholstery as found.

Lots of folks for our spring supper. I think this year we finally got it right. The rule was, get something at the market that day and make something from it.
March 19th was the first day of the farmers' market here. For me that was triply exciting— first market day is always much anticipated, and this year I was working at Persephone Farm's stand for the first time, and also one of my clients, Lauretta Jean's, was "going live" with their stand that day as well. We'd spent the week in a rush of production of banners, rubber stamps, and pie markers, and managed to get it all together in time. I was pretty beat by the time I got home but it was so wonderful to celebrate spring with everyone around our table.
