... eventhough it was mostly cloudy yesterday....there was nice, bright light and I happened to notice the way it reflected on the LoVe Mirrors...

It was early afternoon...after the humble tomato soup lunch...

Thank you Cyd! : )

...as much as I love natural, calm colours,

on what seems to be endless grey days, I choose such alternatives to quickly brighten up our interiors, for a more pleasant, summery feeling, especially at the start of the day.

I'd rather not overdo it though, pretending that Spring is here, coz it would look unnatural.

My thoughts are that much prettiness lies not only in changing our environments but also going together with them....and the same with the weather conditions.

Adjustment, easiness are words that come on my mind...

Our chevron chicken dressed in grey abandoned its role as a door stopper for a while and jumped on the dining table to lay some eggs for this Easter. What a great job it did!

From Domestic Stories with Ivy, our chicken and myself, wishing you a delightfully Happy Easter everyone!

*as the tulips were freshly brought home today, they are still not in bloom. Their yellow color would have lightened up the picture, still for a semi cloudy late afternoon, the light in the winter garden is generous enough. The picture is almost SOOC :*)

P.S: in the comments section you can see last year's Easter picture.

I found myself in downtown Grand Ledge a year ago, where I got some excellent versions of photographs I've taken before. The great light certainly helped.

==========

This photograph is an outtake from my 2021 photo-a-day project, 365^4.

Number of project photos taken: 35

Title of folder: Downtown Grand Ledge

Other photos taken on 9/24/2021: My pocket Canon found ten pix during our daily walk around town, mostly at the store.

Three loves combined together:

-> hearts /the essesnce of love in life

-> crafting/reusing/repurposing

-> wallpaper

....and the double sided vintage leather/ wallpaper hearts are made!

"hello" says Sparkle, the little green fellow inhabiting a mini & oh so pretty ceramic pot, a house warming present from a very dear friend...

The little house shaped blackboard plant marker has been found at a local shop & it totally screamed "Domestic Stories" when I saw it. So I brought home a few ;)

The picture was taken yesterday with later afternoon light in the winter garden & is hardly processed. The outcome came as a pleasant surprise.

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday ~

The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle was built from 1100 to 1117 and is situated on the right bank of the Rhine and is the only fully preserved Midievil castle on the Rhine. Print size 8x10 inches.

My mother couldn't have done a better choice other than carnations, to bring out the best of the new vase and hte colourful Unisef plates collection!

And as you see in the comments section, she inspired me in to also bringing carnations home to welcome us :)

You can read related story about this house HERE , my late Grandfather "Abandon House".

This place used to be our dining area, we used to sit on the floor, having our meals here. We used to take pictures on the stairs there. I'm sad that this is how it end up after almost ten years left abandon without any caretaker.

I can almost hear the "activity" there, it is busy most of the times when my Grandmother which is still alive prepare our meals. This is also a favorite hang out for our mothers, I mean women areas.

Actually my late Grandfather house located at the end of the village, if I'm not mistaken there is less than ten house in this area, so it can get very "lonely" just to be here alone. So currently my Grandmother live with her children on rotation basis. There is a river or some call it stream not too far away from my late Grandfather house, it will take less than one minute to get there but we wouldn't dare to go there alone because the area was quite dark (it was close to the jungle).

This coming Eid uL-Fitr, I will be missing this place so much...

Formally "Biddy Martha's" who have recently moved across the street to a corner premises.

...Vorspeise = appetiser ---> Serano with parmezan cheese, olive oil and fresh pepper...te hee...no numbers as you see!

...again Spanish menu on our tables, but only until main course came: pasta with a white, fresh, mushroom sauce, bringing Italian culture also to our tables :)

Oh! the man of the house has recently done some homeware shopping and brought this Peugeot ( as far as I was concerned, they only procuced cars and bicycles!) pepper mill ....it is transparent with metal details, it is elegant and discrete, of excellent functional design ---> I'm satisfied : )

The temporary arrangement of our still totally undone & kind of disorganised dining area will hopefully one day be a nice, comfortable place to be at, while enjoying spending time there :)

Some more updates on our home renovation process here ~

Thank you for Explore! : )

This is one of the happiest moments of my day yesterday, as I was patiently waiting for quite long, to pick up myself blossomed branches to bring home...

-> Romance...reflected in blossoming branches

-> Feminity...reflected in blossoming branches again, curves and circles & the black

shopping bag(!)

-> Humility...possibly reflected in the fact that there is just a single branch, collected in

the park... and generally few possesions...

-> Grace...it's not up to me to say wether any grace is captured here, but I can mention...

that gracefullness was felt bringing this blossoms home

-> Truth....captured in the simple, everyday life moments...."styled" by life itself...

...captured together with the curves created by the big Leran lamp and the semicircular, upper part of the central window.

I thought my temporary workspace looked really nice as the spring sun was shining through the window, so I decided to snap a pic :)

Paris, France - June 2025: Groups of people relax at Café des Arts on the banks of the Seine. They enjoy drinks while taking in the panoramic views of the Panthéon dome and the equestrian statue of Henry IV during sunset.

Rather not, as it is something that will always return back to us, hurting us and our feelings in the long term.

How about green with care? Isn't that better?

...and green with an eco-friendly conciousness

...even green with love

...and green with freshness

...like the one of new beginnings

Have a lovely, fresh day you all :)!

The title here was inspired by Victoria's amazing green, vintage pair of shoes, a print she has listed in her Etsy shop:

Another brief video of the traditional Vietnamese singing by the locals in the Mekong delta. This time the man is going solo. The ladies who were singing earlier just disappeared out of sight after this. This video is not available to my viewers on Facebook due to technical difficulties. (Mekong Delta, Vietnam, Nov. 2016)

...there seems to be a common decision to be having at least once a week a variation of this "famous" vegetable soup:

This one turned out darker due to the addtition of mushrooms. They bring an interesting taste...

So for two "rich" portions, meaning that there is smaller portion left to share in case there is more..appetite, the following ingredients were used:

-> three medium sizes potatoes

-> 7- 9 medium sized carrots

-> a big zucchini

-> a handful of white mushrooms, the skin pilled off

-> a green pepper

-> three chilly peppers

-> a mixture of salt with herbs

-> fresh peper

Healthy, satisfying, detoxicating, non fattening and fairly tasty :))

As you notice the table is hardly set this time...and the simplest of choices are made, I quess it is ok to not always be in the mood to create something special....

... birthdays do mark fresh beginnings they say...

... mine arrived just when they were needed the most.

Here's to a happy Tuesday & fresh beginnings ~

...pronounced as if we were saying drinn driinn!

Since a cold was flirtling with me all day yesterday - tried hard to keep my chin up! -causing ugly headacahe, inabitlity to concertrate and tireness, setting the table for dinner and preparing it was the most creative part of the day. Sad but true.

Green salad is full with vitamin C, so some fresh came form the grocery store, hoping to give my organism a positive boost...and it did....I have today to completely recover, as we are leaving for a short trip, on a long weekend tomorrow...and the sun will be coming out in this part of the world! Yay : )!

...which didn't last long as it soon became grey and started snowing again.

I grabbed my camera fast enough though!

The table runner and matching pillow were found in autumn in a kind of €1 shop....and only hope they don't look this way!

They were € 2.99and € 1.99 respectively and made from 100% cotton. I liked the colour combinations - brown / light blue / bright yellow - and the coral patterns.We should not underestimate cheap/ no name shops sometimes!

I actually like to discover possible treasures in unexpected places....coz going into a super wonderful shop and findings thigs pretty is easily achievable.

I really like this one especially the light fixture and the "butterfly" chair.

Caption reads: The addition of big windows allows close watch on the seasons, but for those who like privacy, try this site-plannning trick. Outside, add a 6-foot high fence to screen both driveway and carport, creating a secluded court.
