Produced as part of the OK design exercise for Go North East, this anniversary-liveried Dennis Trident has been overtaken by events.
As can be seen from the accompanying image, the traditional fleet name and commemorative lettering have been applied to one of the Scania L94s prepared for the OK1 service. Had the Trident design been taken forward, the vehicle concerned would, most probably, have been allocated to the X20/X21 Pronto services. An East Lancs-bodied Trident had been proposed, in preference to the Plaxton-bodied Volvo B7s currently allocated to these services, as the straighter window line presented fewer design challenges (updated 15-Jan-13).

I was asked to prepare an Optare Solo in Tyne Valley livery by Keith Lee, who tells me that the company has acquired former Nottingham City Transport W247 PAU as a spare bus for the 880 Hexham to Bellingham service. I'm not entirely sure that my source image is to the correct specification, but it carries the duo-tone blue Tyne Valley livery very well (26-Sep-12).

I ran out of my batik FQs so the sashing around the border is smaller but this is about what I hope the final top will look like! :) Thanks to everyone in LQS4 for these beautiful blocks!!!
