Nasce dal monte Croce di Pruno (m 1041) col nome di fiume di Pruno. Viene ingrossato dalle acque scendenti dal monte Faiatella (m. 1410), dal monte Pietra Alta (m 1324), dai monti di Vallivona (m 1452). Da Rofrano ad Alfano prende il nome di fiume Faraone. Sfocia nel mare Tirreno presso Capo Palinuro e segna il confine tra il comune di Centola con quello di Camerota.

Born from Mount Cross of Pruno (m 1041) with the name of river Pruno. It is enlarged by the waters scendenti from Mount Faiatella (m. 1410), from Mount

Pietra Alta (m 1324), from the mountains of Vallivona (1,452 m). From Rofrano to Alfano is called Faraone river. It places in the Tyrrhenian Sea at Cape Palinuro and marks the boundary between the town of Centola with that of Camerota.

La Faluca (àrab Faluka o Faluqa) és una barca de pescadors utilitzada principalment al riu Nil, que té una vela gran que es moguda amb habilitat pel patró que aconsegueix dirigir-la cap on vol només aprofitant una mica de vent.

ESP:

Una faluca ó falúa es un barco de vela del Nilo, que puede tener una o dos velas triangulares, en uno o dos palos inclinados hacia el frente del barco.

ENG:

A felucca (Arabic: فلوكة‎) is a traditional wooden sailing boat used in protected waters of the Red Sea and eastern Mediterranean including Malta, and particularly along the Nile in Egypt. Its rig consists of one or two lateen sails.

They are usually able to board ten-some passengers and the crew consists of two or three people. Despite being made obsolete by motorboats and ferries, feluccas are still in active use as a means of transport in Nile-adjacent cities like Aswan or Luxor. They are especially popular among tourists who can enjoy their quieter and calmer mood than motorboats have to offer.

this is a water reservoir. the quiet and calm waters you see here is at the point where it is about to drop some 30 feet below. the waterfalls is the cover photo in my wawa dam set, just at the righthand side of my photostream page. the bamboo raft in the leftside foreground is what is used to get to the town across.
