Black

Once upon a time, three little girls lived in a cottage in the middle of the woods while their parents went on a business trip.

Goldilocks, Whiteylocks and Hazelocks.

You have most probably read about Goldilocks's story before, but have you heard of what happens next?

After Goldilocks fled from the home of the 3 bears, she was angry and humiliated, being the spoiled little girl she was, she felt that she had done no wrong. She vowed to get them back somehow, some day.

One early morning, Goldilock's youngest sister Hazelocks barged into her room excitedly announcing that a baby bear was in their kitchen. Hazelocks had medium length brown hair, she was tomboyish and did not act like a proper lady, she also had certain strange sadistic habits and was fascinated with torturing insects.

Goldilocks was delighted when she rushed to the kitchen and saw the familiar bear, although it had messed up the kitchen and was even stealing oatmeal from one of their bowls. Hazelocks started jumping around in excitement, and Goldilocks started formulating a plan.

Goldilocks was vain, arrogant and as aforementioned, terribly spoiled. She wanted a fur coat, her parents had promised to buy her one but their business trip was taking forever. She came up with a stupid and cruel plan, she wanted to skin the bear and use the baby bear's fur for a coat.

She told her sister who happily agreed that she would help Goldilocks with any "bloody disgusting" jobs when they skinned the bear. She was as excited as her sister and because of her warped mind, she enjoyed seeing any living organism suffer, except for herself or her family members.

Just then, Goldilock's 2nd sister, Whiteylocks (the middle child) rushed in and in her gentle persuasive tone, tried to stop her sisters from such acts of cruelty against animals. Whiteylocks was demure, gentle, well-mannered and she loved animals. Like all sickeningly sweet fairy tale princesses, she was adored by everyone but her eldest sister who was jealous of her.

Ignoring Whiteylocks, Goldilocks and Hazelocks were still bent on carrying out their plans. Advancing towards the bear cub with a knife, Hazelocks had a murderous look in her eyes as she raised the sharp deadly object.

The bear cub sensed danger and started squealing and calling for its mother in its own bear-speak that none of the three girls understood.

Just then, the girls heard a growl and charging with miraculous speed for an animal so large, the mother bear jumped through the window and continued growling menacingly at the three girls while protectively defending her baby cub.

She recognized Goldilocks as the intruder to her home and roared with anger, firstly, she had stolen their food, ruined their furniture and slept in her baby's bed and now, she wanted to hurt her baby.

Goldilocks and her sisters were already cornered, in her fury, the mother ripped Goldilocks apart and that sent her other 2 sisters screaming and crying, running for their lives. The mother bear turned to chase Hazelocks whom she had seen holding the knife and tore her into shreds. Whiteylocks being well read knew that there were 2 ways to escape a bear,

1. Climb a tree

2. Act dead

and since there was no tree in the house, she sprawled on the floor, trying to hold her breath and keep her calm, faking death. But the mother bear did not hurt her, she and her baby cub left the house which had been so clean a few minutes ago. (In comparison to it's current state the messed up kitchen would have been considered "clean")

Whiteylocks stared at her sister's dead bodies, or rather, what was left of them, and froze, her already semi-white hair turned whiter from shock into a pure white, her naturally pale skin paled further and her large eyes remained opened to the fullest, she couldn't stop shaking, she couldn't talk, she sat there in the house in the same position for days.

Eventually when the parents of the three girls returned, they were shocked to see the blood and the torn up bodies.

Whiteylocks was also dead. She sat in the same position, wrapping her arms around her own body. She had died from the lack of water and food.

And that was the sad end of the three little girls who lived in the cottage in the middle of the woods.

Fellow gamers over the age of 30 (and those who played Diablo 2 when they were 7...)! I present this MOC to you as an invitation. The 15 years old game, Diablo 2, still receiving minimal support from developers, is getting a ladder reset (fear not, if you do not know what this means, the message is not meant for you), which is one of the two nights in the year when the game is the most fun to play. So if you live in Europe (or have low latency for European servers) and you want to play the game the whole night casually, but with dedication and preferably voice communication, you are very much invited to my party. Interesants can notify me with Flickrmail, in the comments or send me a message on D2JSP forums, on the name Alpha_Draconis (virtual highfive to anyone who knows where this name is from). Time to end terror's reign once and for all!

Official reset information

A few words about the MOC: I need to rework the sausage arms and the thicc legs, but other parts I am quite pleased by. Of course, with the time sensitivity and a tight schedule, I can not expect to finish this before the event it was built for takes place. It was a nightmare to photograph with the black horns and claws mixing everywhere, but this particular photo looks passable. I will be adding some other links too, when I get around to it. Or maybe only with the reworked version, if that even happens. Additionally, I think there should be a gradient from black through dark red to red, but there are so many clips and similar structural elements in the ends of the arms, legs and torso, that dark red would be an impossible colour to build in even with unlimited resources. Also, here is a reference picture that shows how I only looked at it after building the arms.

There is a relevant message at the main photo, check it out. The back is not much to look at, I have just made something I am somewhat pleased by and left it be, because of time constraints and because I always work like this anyways. Once it functions, no matter how poorly it does so, there seems to be no initiative to fix it.

After 11 months of on-and-off work, (most initial done in one week, most reworked in a day, six months later and completed in one additional hour of work) one of my longest lasting projects has come to fruition!

if she's as excited about Diablo 3 as Ryan is.

Here's a scan of a doodle sheet I was using while planning the algorithm for the jungle river levels of D2, chock full of foxes, pikachus, villechaizes, guns, knives, and rivers!

I can't wait for Diablo III!

It's chock full of notes if you want some descriptions and a bit of background. :)

He once fought the Prime Evils as a member of the Horadrim, but now Radament serves them as an undead abomination deep beneath the sewers of Lut Gholein, eternally raising an army of the burning dead to invade the peaceful desert oasis.

The very first quest in Act II of Diablo II, Radament is a specially unique Unraveller, or Greater Mummy, possessing powers to raise the dead, attack heroes with an unholy version of the Paladin's Holy Bolt, and severely poison anybody who tries to face him. Stat-wise, he is actually comporable to Andariel, the final boss of Act I - and lore-wise, one of the most powerful demons in existence. Radament thus serves as a pretty good wake-up call to any player who thinks that the game might give him a difficulty break.

Creating Diablo wasn’t easy as Brevik explains how it all came about.

Wtf, people... I know these little "Click like an epileptic having a siezure while playing Diablo 2"-style ads are everywhere... and they get people to click them... Somehow... But... this is freakin' ridiculous!!! I mean, how sad is it that now you're clicking a "Fart" button with the express purpose of trying to out-fart a creature that flings it's own poo!!!

Seriously, people... Knock it the fuck off already.

You may have heard Blizzard announced Diablo III a week or so ago. Those of you who were addicted to Diablo II, like myself, will understand this picture then, and perhaps even you dug out your old copy of Diablo II and started playing it again, which is what my roommate and I did last night...until 3am.... damn you Blizzard, and just after going a year clean without WoW! ;) LOL

Actually I was gaming all night and went to sleept at 7am just in order to have at least a little bit sleep (I slept only 1hour) ... The same day I went to a Friends house and stayed up all night gaian :OO...Now I havent slept for two days >..<
