The Pottery town is a small settlement in the Benson town area of Bangaluru city and the inhabitants are involved in the profession of pottery. The potters here are original native of Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu who migrated around 150 years ago. The potters here make all types of pottery starting from clay pots, lamps, tumblers, mugs, pitchers and idols of all Gods and Goddesses.
Malgoa is an important mango cultivar grown in Tamil Nadu and other parts of South India. It is a large round fruit (typically 300-500 g), it has a small hard seed inside and is very juicy and fragrant. ts production area is centred on the districts of Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, as well as neighbouring parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Mangoes season has begun in Chennai City . . Mangoes are harvested in large numbers in Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Namakkal districts in Tamil Nadu. Many varieties of mangoes are cultivated here. The mango season will begin during the last week of March till the last week of June. The cultivation is very good this here because the north east monsoon gave a helping hand. Now plucking of fruits is going on full swing. It is common to see street vendors selling mangoes all over the city.

Hogenakkal is a small village on the Cauvery river in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It gets its name from the Kannada word, 'Hoge' meaning ‘Smoke’ and 'kal' meaning ‘rocks’ and hence the term Hogenakkal meaning ‘Smoky Rocks’. A smoky appearance on the rock is created by the water plummeting forcefully.

Hogenakkal Falls - When its full of beauty.

Hogenakkal Falls is in Tamilnadu, India. It is fondly called the Indian Niagara. the place is very beautiful indeed.
River Cauvery in Southern India causes a series of beautiful falls at Hogenakkal (smoking rocks). The falls are usually gentle, beautiful and a major tourist attraction. The river Cauvery is a major river in southern India. It flows along the Karnataka-Tamilnadu State border at Hogenakkal.
The route Bangalore-Hosur-Krishnagiri-Dharmapuri-Hogennakkal (186 km) was very good. The Indian National Highway NH-7 that connects these places is very well maintained and is a pleasure to drive. I covered this distance on hired car ... and it was a wonderful experience !

They seem like walking mushrooms these Parisals or mobile boats here at Hogenakal, lightweight, easy to carry by one man but they can carry up to 15 people on the water peddling between the high rocks along the falls.

Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world. This is also the site of a proposed project to generate drinking water.
