We showed up around 3pm on the 24th and the museum was already about to close. I think everyone's eager to go home and spend Christmas Eve with their families.

the special dark blue lighting was provided for staff and guests at the recent de young museum staff christmas party. i've been my sister's guest for this annual event for the last three years. i changed the foreground gray walls to burgundy and cloned out a light fixture and a projected snowflake image near the mural. .

Every Spring the DeYoung Museum hosts their Bouquets to Art exhibition. Local florists are invited to offer a flower arrangement based on an assigned piece from the museum's permanent collection. The results are oftentimes stunning.
Lately I’ve been pushing what HDR photos can look like into unknown (at least to me) surrealist reality but without the usual HDR feel. In this photo I left in some of the HDR processing artifacts. Look for the repeated star on the Macy's bag.

I haven't dabbled with film photography lately as I was too busy at work. I found shooting film therapeutic as I had to slow down and observe making every shots count. I especially love to do that in San Francisco. There are so many photo opportunities. Here, I found a bunch of small trees planted at this nook outside the De Young museum building. To me, it 's worth the click.
