I was able to see an amazing sunset over the Colorado River in SE Utah from Dewey Bridge in September. Its really hard to draw the line of where my imagination of how colorful the scene was compared to the photo I captured but I remember it being this vivid. I am going to post two photos one in landscape and one in portrait. let me know which you prefer.

the bergamot month begins! so far I have not seen many pollinators around these native wild flowers, but to be fair, it has been rather rainy in Southwestern Ontario the last week plus!

I'm aware I've broken one of the compositional rules I tend to adhere to, in not putting in-focus elements near the edge of the frame. I both wanted to include the detail, which I didn't frame as well as I ought have, yet not draw the eye out of the frame.
Do you find it distracting / think it would be better blurred rather than preserved in post processing?
A nice hike at this time of year from Chinook Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail will take hikers to this beautiful lake in the William O. Douglas Wilderness of Washington.
