Oh well. Korea lost to Switzerland in the 2006 World Cup. And at 5:00 AM, the dejected red devils don't quite know what to do with themselves. The atmosphere outside was so much different after the game than the atmosphere during the game in the overflowing Korean bars in Wudaokou, flooded with drumming and neverending chants of "Tae...Han-Min-Gook!".

Devil's Bridge is a few miles outside of Sedona, AZ. I used to go to Sedona 4 times a year to hike the 4 seasons and this was always one of my favorite spots, albeit my heart was always in my throat when I walked across it.
Saturday 13th of September, 2003 - A few miles further on down Highway 89, we came across this, lovingly known as "The Devils Slide", an enormous and not quite vertical cliff of sandstone and shale, which has bizzarely formed this narrow and very slippery slope in the rock.
I wish I'd been paying more attention to what the sign said about it and how it was formed and all that, as I can't remember now what the importance of it was, and seemingly neither can anyone else, as there's absolutely nothing about it on the internet either other than to say it's a cliff! This amazing exhibition tells the story of arguably the Greatest Munitions Factory on Earth, which was constructed on the Anglo-Scottish Border between scenic Dornock in Scotland and bustling Longtown in England. During 1915, Britain was at a massive disadvantage in the early part of the Great War through lack of a decent and consistent supply of quality ammunition.
That is until 30,000 women and men travelled from all over the world to come and work in this one massive factory, purpose built by the government on the northern shore of the Solway Firth specifically to mass manufacture cordite: a smokeless explosive usually made from nitro-glycerine and nitro-cotton that would go on to turn the battle around! Within 2 years this one uber factory was producing 1,100 tons of cordite a week, which was more than all the other munitions plants in Britain put together!
The Devil's Slide in California is a promontory with a steep, collapsing slope just South of Pacifica. Here, the Cretaceous granite of Montara Mountain pushed against the Paleocene mudstone, a mix of marine shale, sandstone and conglomerate, of the San Mateo Coast. Though the fault is now inactive, the mudstone has for decades been collapsing into the Pacific. For years, HWY 1 ran through here, and the area had an sinister reputation of accidents and landslides that would close HWY1 and cut off Pacifica to the South (locals apparently dubbed themselves "the World's longest cul-de-sac"). However after the recent Caltrans project, the area has been sealed off from cars, and made into a hiking trail, though whether the area continues collapsing remains to be seen.

Dyavolski Most (Devil’s Bridge) was built on a picturesque narrow gorge of Arda River in the beginning of the 15th century. It is located 35 km away from Kardzhali and 10 km away from Ardino. The bridge is part of an ancient road, which connected the Aegean Sea Coast with the inland of Thrace. A local legend says that one can see the devil’s step in one of the stones, which is probably where its name comes from. The bridge was proclaimed a monument of culture on 24th February 1984.
