I was just hipped to this book by @thething.is. On Thursday we are focussing on the most complex level of Design Management: “Design as Expression” that is adressing the meaning of Design/Products/Services for organisations. While this level appears to be the most compelling one it is quite tricky to handle. The ‘needs’ companies/clients usually have are not located here while (from an outside view) they would desperately need the Design Management process to be started here. However deliberately challenging one’s value proposition and business model is not the easiest exercise for companies.

Wednesday has a focus on what it means of you come across a context that treats design as Communication. Similarly to “Design as Process” the impact for Design Management (again) is quite different.
On Tuesday we will dive deeper into the “Design Process” and what needs to be considered when it comes to manage this process.
