I wanted to do one of those "me pointing big-ass SLR at a mirror" shots, but with a twist. However, I am cheating here - I had to use a tripod. The lighting is a single 50w halogen desk lamp. Most of the work of getting this was finding the right position for the lamp so that the camera and the display was lit, without getting loads of reflections (of me, the room etc) from the non-mirrored plastic. I think the gradient that I ended up with is pretty cool, which is why I didn't crop this closer.
I didn't notice until later that there's a bit of a twig stuck in the hole in the apple. I came back, removed it, and took more shots, but they didn't turn out well.

This photo is apart of my three series of photographs where I showcase a long, medium, and short depth of field on the same subject. This photo showcases a long depth of field. This is obvious due to the fact that the entire photo is in focus. ƒ/16.0
Shallow DOF fun with a manual 70-200MM lens on Pentax K-50. Cropped, sharpened and processed in Photoshop.
Not usually the sort of photo I take but I was in the garden and thought what the heck I'll give it a try.
