Figured out the close focus on my Canon A80 while in Hawaii.

Take a nice 50mm f/1.4 lens. Flip it backwards and point your point-and-shoot digital camera through it. Instant macros.

Not sure what this flower is called but very pretty. The sunlight was hitting it just right this morning.

My mom and step-dad are at a wedding tonight, then will be staying over with Dave and I. Tomorrow we will enjoy brunch and pedicures (the pedicures are for my mom and I). I am looking forward to a little pampering! I most definitely need it.

The lighthouse on the end of the West Pier. Looking old :(

This here is the fear of missing out. That monster that always keeps looking over your shoulder telling you that now ... at that very moment... you are missing something awesome, so awesome that he can't even tell you what it is. So you rifle through your FB, insta, emails, work emails looking for it, but it seems you've missed it, and should be sad ... so very sad

I've been out of school for a little less than a week, haven't posted in over a month and its been pouring rain for four straight days.

At least I was able to sneak out for 5 minutes to snatch a couple shots of these flowers before I got struck by lightning.

Playing with depth-of-field in macro focus mode, Av, F/stop as noted.

Depth of field goes from very shallow (2.8) to broad (8.0)

Roses appearing above our garbage cans. I love using my f1.4 lens!

This was taken in my backyard. I love the play between organic elements and strong linear lines.

Tiptree Heath, Essex, England - 20th May, 2018

Great depth of field but these blooms aren't in the best shape.

A view looking down the handrail of our stairs. Just some messing about with depth of field.

Strobist info : Lit with a single SB-28 on 1/8 power fitted with a sto-fen omnibounce lying on the stairs to camera right.
