Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Melody Beattie
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

It's a beautiful lie
It's a perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to believe in
So beautiful, beautiful, it makes me
It's time to forget about the past
To wash away what happened last
Hide behind an empty face
Don't ask too much just say
Cause this is just a game
It's a beautiful lie
Everyone's looking at me
I'm running around in circles
A quiet desperation's
Building higher
I've got to remember this is just a game
So beautiful, beautiful
It's a beautiful lie
It's a perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to believe in

tune: Denial of Peter
Denial of Peter
The ground is soaked in blood and silent are trees in Nazareth,
always for last and for first, like in unreal cabaret,
we are too weak in faith, even though Christ is dragged to the cross,
and if they kill the shepherd, split will be herd,
La la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la
crosses tower the moon and thorns welcome Messiah,
at the garden nightingales are singing, it's a night that awaits Judas,
the moon shimmers as nacre and though we pledge loyalty,
now, for second and for third, we Christ and ourselves deny,
we deny for first - hands still shiver
we deny for second - praising the despair
for third we deny just because - of habit,
and tears we swallow, weeping instead of cries,
The ground is soaked in blood, rooster crows in Galilee.
always again and always for first, with Peter we beg for hope,
we are too weak in faith and Holy truth is dragged to the cross,
and if they kill the shepherd, split will be herd,
La la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la

Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
You think it’s easier
To put your finger on the trouble
When the trouble is you
And you think it’s easier
To know your own tricks
Well, it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do
I have a will for survival
So you can hurt me
And then hurt me some more
I can live with denial
But you’re not my troubles anymore
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
You think it’s easier
To give up on the trouble
If the trouble is destroying you
And you think it’s easier
But before you throw me a rope
It was the one thing I could hold on to
I have a will for survival
So you can hurt me
And then hurt me some more
I can live with denial
But you’re not my troubles anymore
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
God knows it’s not easy
Taking on the shape of someone else’s pain
God now you can see me
I’m naked and I’m not afraid
My body’s sacred and I’m not ashamed
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in control
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Somebody stepped inside your soul
Little by little they robbed and stole
Till someone else was in Control
I am in denial about buying a new head, I'm still catching up on all the sl drama and news. I've just worked out / learnt what bom is. (fancy mesh tattoo) What happened to Genus? Some douche decided to sue falsely? I was so damn sad to see that their amazing team was no longer creating.
Non-remembrance. Denial. The message is "don't look at them, look at me!" Several graves at our local parish cemetery have recently been intentionally vandalised or desacralised, such as this one. This also is an individual, not an organised, contribution to remembrance, though a fully negative one. Non-remembrance, or the killing of the memory, is unfortunately part of the human repertoire. Now it is in our village.

EXPLORE BEAUTIFUL ST. THOMAS
Completed by: Denial
Find five murals in one! This mural represents five popular St. Thomas landmarks: the St. Thomas Elevated Park, City Hall, the Elgin County Courthouse, Jumbo the Elephant Memorial, and Pinafore Park. Each panel is designed as a vintage style travel poster. It is such a detailed piece and speaks to our city’s story.
With lockdown in place it is against the rules for me to go to places I like to shoot, so I though I would try to create a series called Isolated creativity. The series is not intended to be a diary but a way of documenting thoughts and emotions via photography.
At points during this crisis I have found it both difficult and depressing to deal with the constant stream of often horrendous news and have therefore tried to limit myself to listening to the news just once a day.
My thanks go to my wonderful and patient model.

Summer slowly fades away and Autumn is settling in. And as every year, comes the time that I need to give up my denial and embrace the new season.
I was walking down at the beach with my better half the other day, thinking of that. It kind of saddens me though. I'll miss the summer sun and all that carelessness it holds within. I'll miss late sunsets wandering at the beach. I'll miss feeling that certain warmth of its rays on my skin and that of the sand covering my feet as I walk barefoot on the beach. I'll miss that sweet afternoon breeze and the feeling of that warm air gently cuddling my face. Gosh, I know I'll miss all that for next few months, like I do every year.
But then again, I'm thinking we are entering a season of colors and transformations. Blue becomes pale, green turns to orange and yellow. Nature is changing its color palette. It's dressing up to meet Winter later this year. But you don't need me to tell you that now, do you really? I guess not! One look around can be more persuasive than all the words of the world.
And then it hit me. Nature is changing to refresh and create life, so change can't be that bad after all. Not if it's done the right way at least. It can create! Ohhh did I just say"can create"?! Hold that thought now! That ticks many boxes inside me. It rings many bells and fills many blanks. Change is not always bad. It's needed and sometimes can be mandatory.
But it's not only nature. It's us too. We change. I hear many say "people don't change", usually meaning they don't change in respect of certain traits they bear. And that can be truth in many cases, I won't argue that. But people can and do change. We change. We are not all of us, the same we were, say five, maybe ten or twenty years ago. No way. We changed. For good or bad is irrelevant. What matters is we do change. So it's feasible and in many cases inevitable.
It's up to us then to decide how we want to change and to what direction we want to go from there. But we can't do that being in denial. Like I can't enjoy Autumn for example, while being in denial for a Summer already gone. Thus acceptance is the key here, like it is in many aspects of life. I need to accept change and embrace it, if I am to enjoy it. Better yet I need to ... own it. Who can be better than myself to decide if, when and how I should change, but me and me alone? And if I am to come to terms with Change, then it better be on my terms rather than not.
No, change is not always good. It just isn't. But it's not always bad either. The moment we accept that, there's a whole new world of possibilities in front of us. Waiting to be explored. And lived. And enjoyed. The final judgement is on us. Change or not? Doesn't matter really, as long as we are the ones making the decision for ourselves. But we need to know our options beforehand. We need to know deep inside, that we can change, should we believe we should and feel like it.
The rest... The rest is all you! Us! Always was, just some of us kept being in denial I guess...

The exhibition Blind, shown at La Maison d'Aneli, will close friday July 22th.
The exhibition explores our denial of the studied, validated, stated, detailed crisis of climate change for which we are collectively responsible : natural, economic, social and demographic disasters. And yet we do nothing, but continue our frenzy of senseless consumption and expend our energy in war.
The exhibition consists of five themes displayed in an original 3D and video installation, thirteen images and seven short stories.
Blind is the first part of "The 5th Season" an artwork in three parts.
The seven short stories, published on The Carbone Studio website , feature Tiresias, Daphne, Oedipus and his daughter Antigone, Clarissa Dalloway, and George and Martha, characters from the play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" in stories that take place in our time.
