delta photos on Flickr

"Delta Rain Dream" by Richard S Warner

48 15

Title and piece inspired by the music of Jon Hassell and Brian Eno on their album "Fourth World: Possible Musics Volume 1".

At this point in the Summer of 2020 I had been making paintings with very strong, saturated colours, and wanted to shift to something softer. One doesn't always need to "go bang".

Acrylic on Canvas. 13" Diameter.

Delta flower beetles are diurnal (active during daylight). Throughout much of their adult life, they are commonly found on and near flowers within tall grass and meadows. Their adult life revolves completely around flowers. Mating occurs on flowers and their adult diet consists mostly of pollen.
