..........
Sometimes we dig in pain thinking that it is a well that we will finally empty. However, the pain is more like a tear that if it is pulled, its vocation of abyss is discovered, a labyrinth without planes from which it is difficult to get out. Pain is a wound that must be allowed to breathe

In Córdoba, like any city, there are avenues, streets, and alleys. The word "alley" can't be taken in a pejorative sense in Córdoba... (the maze of alleys makes some parts of the city beautiful). This one, almost in the center, we'll call it a street. I'm struck by the layout of the pavement: it adapts and divides the sidewalk and street equally, measured from the central drainpipe. You'd say an architect designed it when he stumbled out of the tavern a little, but it turned out perfectly.
A few verses come to mind; I think it's a soleá.
Your street is no longer my street
it's just any street
on the way to nowhere.
A TRACE OF LIGHT
I don't know where the serene indigo light comes from to caress the afternoon.
I know nothing of what shines in the halo of things and makes the goldfinch sing.
I don't know the flight of the sea that writes the white moon on the canvas of the night.
But everything that grows, in darkness or at dawn, leaves us a trace of light, opens a luminous labyrinth for those who know how to look with the innocence of a child.

¡Verdaderamente alucinante!

The Return of Icarus with surfboard, is a striking bronze statue, made by artist Esperanza d'Ors, in 1999. And to put this character in a place appropriate to its history, is that we have chosen the port of Alicante. Floats on the water this sculpture, and in times when the sea rises, it seems that Icarus emerge from the water. It is an impressive sight. And if you know the history of this character, know that Icarus is the son of Daedalus who dreamed of flying. Devised wings attached with wax to allow him to escape from Crete, where he was imprisoned.
As you can see, this sculpture is a modern vision of Icarus, who has replaced his wings for a windsurfer. Also in the sculpture shows a marked disproportion Icarus with shoulder and head.
Truly amazing!

Le Castella would first be born a Roman colony (but the remains of a Greek wall in the back of the Fortress may deny it, Advancing hypothesis of an ancient phrourion).

When the sky is clear, the Municipality of Belforte del Chienti is mirrored on the lake.
Of great environmental and landscape interest, the ancient village of Belforte is perched on a steep hill overlooking the valley of the Chienti, while inside the ancient walls dating back to the fourteenth century and recently renovated, sees a distinctive maze of narrow, steep and winding streets, among which stands the parish church which houses a spectacular testimony of the Marches renaissance.

Odori a volte acri, altre dolci e sensazioni intense.
For english friends :)
I entered deliberately these hidden lanes in Cairo. There aren't any tourists, the inhabitants of these angled narrow streets watch you surprised with a smile and ask you about your way, convinced you are lost in this maze. Learning you are there not by mistake and you love stroll around there they smile even more gently saying: "Welcome to Cairo!"
Plays of light and shadow. Sometimes stenches, sometime sweets smells, intense sensations.
Suddenly someone is greeting me from my left side, and this is the "vision" :)
Too beautiful, too rare, too unusual lady :)
Tough not having a common language, we... had a dialog.
Even better: she started telling a story making her cats, her friends, her companions play. I have been there listening and watching; before leaving a shot the purple lady happy for meeting this exceptional woman.

Polish sculpture Igor Mitoraj has a massive Apolllonian sculpture. This one is called the Daedalus (Dedalo). It is located near the Temple of Venus at Pompeii's entrance. A beautiful statue overlooking the city in the country of Italy.
Icarus, son of Daedalus, symbol of curiosity, of daring, of the attraction that comes with risk, of the pleasure of adventure, of the desire to learn, of the need to reach the highest levels. And that ultimately led to his great flight and his fall.

A shot of the italian village of Sorano, in theTuscany region, in the province of Grosseto town.
The village is located on the top of a tufa cliff: it is characterized by a “labyrinth” of alleys, courtyards, small arches, ashlar portals, external stairs, loggias and cellars excavated in the tufa.
Carlo Saraceni, also known as Carlo Saracino (Venice, 1585 - Venice, 1625) - Landscape with the Fall of Icarus (1606-1607) - Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte
In the scene of the Fall, in addition to Icarus who, too close to the sun, sees the melting of the wax with which his father Daedalus built the wings to escape from Minos' labyrinth, two figures in seventeenth-century clothing appear at lower left, respectively fishing and riding horses, who observe the scene in surprise.
The insert, which seems to be a simple detail of genre, is actually a precise quotation of the passage of the Metamorphoses: "And whoever sees them, a fisherman swinging his rod, is astonished, believing them to be gods able to cross the sky".
Polyommatus: del griego, poly-pollá, mucho-s; y matí-a, ojo-s.
From greek Poly, a lot of, and mati, eye. Icarus, son of Dedalus, who create the Crete´s labyrinth.
Argos Panoptes was a giant, with a hundred eyes, some of them were always opened so he was a very good guardian. Hera, wife of Zeus, was his boss. Hermes killed him and Hera preserved the eyes on the tails of peacocks.
In Greek mythology, Argus Panoptes was a giant with a hundred eyes, a faithful servant of Hera. He was therefore a very effective guardian, for only some of his eyes slept at any one time, while others were always awake.
Hermes succeeded in killing him, and to commemorate his faithful guardian, Hera had the hundred eyes of Argus preserved forever in the tails of peacocks.
Icarus, son of Daedalus, who, in order to escape from the labyrinth of Crete, flies with wings of feathers and wax made by his father. Disobedience makes him get too close to the sun, which melts his wings, causing him to fall into the void.
**************

Spanish Navy operated McDonnell Douglas EAV-8B Harrier II VA.1B-38 in the hover during a display at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford on 19th July 2024.
The Spanish Navy is committed to keeping its fleet of AV-8B+ Harrier jets operational until at least 2030, despite the increasing challenges as other countries retire their Harrier fleets.
The ten single-seat Harriers are reportedly in good condition. Seven aircraft have been deployed on the amphibious assault ship Juan Carlos I for Operation Dédalo 24. This deployment has been active since early April 2024 covering diverse operational areas such as the Eastern Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea.
The 9th Aircraft Squadron is the only Spanish Navy fixed-wing fighter squadron. The VSTOL 'Harrier' fighter unit was set up more than 30 years ago. Today, as in the past, the 9th Aircraft Squadron is the present and future of the combat air naval aviation.
