Displaying some of my favourite Christmas oraments I've collected through the years, on a pretty tray on my coffee table! Happy Sunday my friends =)
Vienna was getting ready for Christmas when we visited. Tons of lights dangling above the street leading to the Hofburg Palace.

Every year, I enjoy photographing all the lights and Christmas decortions around the house. A favorite theme of mine is to go outside at night and photograph the scene I see through the window.

Aggie also got a turn at a photo with the decorative cookies on a string. All went well, except for the cold paws as we shot this outdoors for better light. This was quite brave for her.

Incredibly picturesque sky and dramatic clouds in the morning, colored by the intense red of the rising sun.

The New Deliciously Decadent Meeting Room is Finished!!!!! well still some large prints that need to go up when they arrive and a hole pile of new display cakes that need to be made but the construction/decortion process is completed and i am now ready for all the 2010 meetings to start :-)

Here's the new creative area I've made for the Bug. It's in the corner of the kitchen, and had cafe curtain wires to dry and display artwork, and Ikea shelves to store materials.

Lanterns decorations lighted-up at New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street for the Chinese New Year 2018 celebrations in Chinatown.
I wanted to capture a proper picture of the Christmas tree but the lights on the tree create a issue because they are so bright compared to the rest of the tree which results in blown highlight around the area that they sit on!
So i went the extra mile and by using manual mode i got what equals to a -10 - +2 brackets which translated to between 1/2000 - 15 seconds between the darkest exposure to the brightest one!
(my camera only allow me to use -2 - +2 setting if i use the built in exposure compensation mode!)
25 images later and i imported them into lightroom and whitebalance corrected the files, then into hdr efex pro which didn't like that the files didn't have the bracketing numbers because i used manual mode so i had to guesstimate the number (-10. +2) and after a while i got a file that i saved and then went back to lightroom and adjusted some more setting, sharpened it and exported it!
So here is the final result, where you can see the filament in the lights!
