Beautiful colours on the finishing point of our hiking tour in the Wiehengebirge, Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany

Looking north from Woodcote, South Oxfordshire. After standing out in this field for ages, getting wet and cold, I gave up and left when the gloom did not lift. An hour later I returned for another attempt. That was still hopeless and I was about to forget the whole idea when, suddenly, there were these few seconds of half-decent light.
