20231110 Davidson Day School’s Veterans guest speaker was Lieutenant General Tom James. James, recently retired from a decades long career in the Army is Mrs. Thomas’s brother-in-law. The upper school assembly also included Mrs. Phipps leading the middle school band as they performed each of the U.S. armed forces songs.

2025098 Davidson Day School sophomore class trip to Savannah, GA included both service and building community. The day began at the Boys & Girls Club where DDS students helped children with homework and more. The evening included bowling, arcade games and pizza. Thursday’s highlight was a day at Tybee Island with a service project at the YMCA, a tour of the Tybee Lighthouse and Battery, free time at the beach and dinner at North Beach Bar & Grill.
