All of the original characters who have stuck with me through the years pretty much all started out as my childhood Barbies. Back then, I was convinced my "DD" doll looked like JLo. ...So now that there's a JLo doll, it only seem right for me to switch to that mold for the new custom DD.
I knew there was a reason I could never figure out what to do to Marissa to make her more DD-like. It just wasn't meant to be!
...Of course, I really wish the JLo was a darker tone. I swear my characters are slowly, accidentally, getting whitewashed.
cover of my DD. I really loved the look of ALi's cover, so I came up with my own version. Teresa Collins Bracket book, stamped and embossed circles on white cardstock. Painted tattered angels dirty martini glimmer glam. and then sprayed the marshmellow glitter mist over the top of that. The letters are various chipboard fonts from my stash painted with dash of red and glossy accents over the top. I loved how it turned out.
