Time is running out, stuck going nowhere.
You pay for a daysaver for all-day travel, but the day wastes away.
Stuck in traffic as the world passes by while you dream of somewhere.
Anywhere but here.
In Autumn 2000 Travel West Midlands launched an Airbus Service from Birmingham Airport non stop to Birmingham terminating at Broad Street Birmingham. Fares was £5 single which was quite high considering TWM 900 service was £1.50 one way £3.00 daysaver. The route was operated by Travel Yourbus until February 2001 (Closure) passed to Perry Barr who withdrawn it 6 months later. The buses 4120-4123 was repainted into TWM and passed to Birmingham Central.

One of the first new Enviro 400 MMCs to enter service with NXWM is seen operating its branded route 9 to Stourbridge on Colmore Row, Birmingham, during its first morning in service.
Seen here is one of four different style of ticket branding on these buses. A pink one advertises the group daysaver, a green one advertises the family daysaver, this yellow one advertises the 'regular' daysaver, and a purple one advertises the evening5 group ticket. Each style also advertises a different attraction along the route.
22 of these buses are on order (the first seven have already arrived) for the route, replacing the current allocation of Enviro 400 bodied Tridents (one of which is pulling out from behind it) with the first 15 due to receive this green route branding.
These are the first buses in this new red livery, also featuring a new style moquette.
This bus is named "Aman".

Out and about on a Merseyrail Daysaver, Transport for Wales Sprinter 150282 prepares for its return service from Bidston to Wrexham.
In line with the new brand, 2231 has become the first of the lot to receive new fare branding. With a bit more thought, like lining the angled daysaver sticker up with the red stripe of the livery, this would look quite smart. Pictured here departing Acocks Green for Solihull on the 4A.
Built by my own fair hand, this scratchbuilt Leyland Olympian represents Lothian Buses 876 (K876CSF). I built the model in 1993, when the real bus was just a toddler. In later years, whilst employed with Lothian, I updated the front blinds and added yellow Daysaver banners which I never got round to signwriting. This clashes datewise with the orange star in the windscreen which was a feature in the early 90's. The model is built from laminated drawings for the sides with raised plasticard details added where appropriate. The roof and interior fittings are white metal. Two things I'm pleased with are the profile of the front end and the level of interior details, even down to bell pushes on the upright handrails.

6107 is pictured during the penultimate day of NXWM operating route 46, then Northfield to QE Hospital, in the suburbs of Northfield.
Aside from the major driver shortages that NXWM were experiencing, they ran the route far better than Stagecoach have managed - who are experiencing driver shortages themselves, frequently get lost or miss sections of the route, and poor timings and info on TfWMs part means delays are more commonplace. Usage levels have also noticeably dropped, presumably due to Daysavers not being valid, and the less desirable routing.

Although the first of its kind to be repainted into grey, West Bromwich based 4763 has been laid up for some time receiving repairs. It finally returned to service the day before I took this photo, having been sent for repaint some 7 months prior. To note it actually carries the extra daysaver branding unlike recent repaints, which helps to break up the grey. Seen here having arrived on route 74 from West Bromwich.

This bus was one of 20 to be delivered to First's Gushetfaulds depot for use on Commonwealth Games shuttles in summer 2012. Upon arriving in the West Midlands it was allocated to West Bromwich garage and named "Rekha" a month or two later. The ticket branding was applied in early 2015.

NX Coventry Trident 2/Enviro 400 4764 makes a left turn into Much Park Street on an outbound journey. If I'm not careful I'll have the entire batch (4763-75) snapped! - but there is nothing else that has gone two-tone blue thus far. Suppose £3.80 for a Coventry e-Daysaver is good - the minimum cash fare is around £2 these days.
Unlimited Travel £3 daysaver on National Express West Midlands buses, off peak, or £4 in the areas in or outside of the area marked.
Of course if you have a Swift card, you don't need a daysaver!
The local daysaver area and on the no 11 bus (11A / 11C / 11E).
You have to pay with exact change on NXWM buses.
But it's much easier to have a bus pass or smartcard. And I think you can now use your debit card to pay on the bus (on the smartcard reader).
Soon to be transferred to Birmingham Central I suspect, 4849 is captured at Newtown Milton Street with a 907 from Sutton Coldfield to Birmingham. This one along with 4846, 4850 and 4851 were rebranded from the 33 to the price branding seen today last year, at the time the daysaver was increased from £4 to £4.50.
